Here is the official quarterly economic report of the 10000 Islands. This report has been complied by our old time economist who lives in our isles and is only known by the name of Mortimer.
April 2010 - Nations continued to move into 10000 Islands and our region ended the quarter with over 860 nations, listed as the #8 overall for NationStates in terms of population & #1 overall in terms of user created regions. Overall, this quarter was again very solid on nearly all fronts. With this increase in demand, supply must be increased as well or there may be shortages in future quarters as our population has and continues to blossom. There are a great many factors that have been compiled to bring you these reports.
Capitals:
Capitals are the beginning step in establishing your 10000 Islands nation on the map and showing your dedication toward growing your nation. All capitals had no gain this quarter.
Farming:
With the vast amount of immigrants coming into the region, labor for the 10000 Islands was in high demand and there was much demand for food. All farms produced 4,000
in profit this quarter.
Mining:
Mining stayed on level this quarter, but there were no significant finds as far as new resources. All mines lost 2,000.
Shipping:
All shipping fleets were extremely busy again this quarter with new nations moving in and goods being shipped from island to island. Each shipping fleet earned 7,000 in profit.
Factories:
Factories are currently the hardest and most costly to build on the 10000 Islands map. With their steep price tag, few nations can afford these modern marvels, and fortunately, factories performed well this quarter. All factories produced 5,000 in profit.
