Full Name of Nation: The Most Serene Republic Of Lopsdon
Brief History
Lopsdon was once a small peaceful place no larger than an octopuses garden, Tribes lived amongst the vast forests in a manner that would be called Ethnic by well meaning liberals. However this changed following the landing of an expedition party from a long gone nation although they were quickly slaughtered for crushing a large section of temple with their “ BRAHAM LINCOLN” the local tribes people moved forward ,always quick learners the people of Lopsdon soon became a full nation although the tribes still remain they hold far less significance than PBL (prior to BRAHAM LINCOLN). Although the Lopsdonites still value hunting skills, tree-houses and interpretive dance over gold and conventional weapons (leaving them with a nightmare economy for any outsiders) they are not a force to be underestimated as they have managed to miraculously fuse the Steampunk style of the exploration party with environmentally beneficial ideals of their society. At present space exploration seems a way off as catapults prove to be unreliable. Lopsdon recently relocated to the pleasant 10000 Islands where the frequent rainfall and warm temperatures have caused a massive increase in evolutionary speeds and plant life growth has reached unprecedented levels.

Government Type: Republic
(Democratic representation of all Lopsdonites, essentially everyone over 18 can put forward a proposition. assuming it is properly submitted, and it will be debated until an outcome is decided.)

In their last engagement as mercenaries the Commanding officer of The Newsman Empire the commanding officer Gawain Lambert refused to pay claiming that he had not seen any results citing reports that the castle later stormed by Newsman forces had been left completely deserted with only the extensive gallows full of what appear to have been dissident soldiers. He was later found nailed to the flag tower; half flayed in exactly the same way as the corpses of the gallows. The mercenaries have not been seen since in the region.
Notable Weapons: The military is noted for their extensive use of silenced weapons and ready use of close combat weapons, most famously the Nantang staff and Brakan Knives of the Quesonta soldiers.
Technology: The Soldiers make extensive used of tactically silenced wing suits and high-flying aeroplanes to insert soldiers. Other technology is mostly offensive and based around hit and run, ambush and stealth tactics.
Awards: Due to the distinct lack of well publicised engagements or desire for recognition from the government Lopsdon has no medals. The people of Lopsdon regard military service as a break from being in the reservations which has claimed far more lives to date than and battles.
N.B It should also be noted that most Lopsdonite soldiers spend their time essentially shopping for anyone who asks. This shopping trip can take up to 3 years to complete as the items are usually rare, difficult to reach and alive. This accounts for the multitude of soldiers on missions as the relaxed structure allow shopping parties of up to 50 soldiers. The most dangerous of trips is the kllpxtan teeth trip, when is was last undertaken of the 50 that went only 3 returned.
