Anime & Wordy Awarded Heart of the Islands Medal!

I am happy to announce that by unanimous rulings of the Council of Nine (9-0 for Anime & 8-0 for Wordy - Wordy didn't know) I hereby award the Heart of the Islands medal to both Anime Daisuki & Wordy.

Both Anime's & Wordy's contributions to the 10000 Islands have been many and we, as a region, really appreciate all that you have done here.

Both Wordy and Anime truly deserve this award.

Wordy's always been a friend, through thick and thin. She joined the Islands back in December 2009, and soon after we started spamming Taco Island together. We then both slowly moved on, as I went into regional politics, and Wordy went into her TITO TO role, and we both remained good friends... And we still are. Her friendship, help and guidance have been invaluable this whole time, even when we've had our disagreements.

10000 Islands is very, very lucky to have Wordy amongst its ranks. Not only is she one of the best Defenders there are out there (as the Defender Awards this year have proven), she is also just that kind of person you'd want in your community. She's nice, helpful, and a person which people look up to as a leader and a role-model.

When I started Defending, Anime was my Commander, and gave me with some of the best lessons I've ever received on Defending. His Defending work is not to be underestimated, he is one of the best Defenders NS has ever seen. Anime's been here for TITO and the Islands for many, many years, and without him, the Islands would not be the place it is today, and TITO would not be as strong as it is. He does so many things for this region, and puts in so much of his personal time, that his commitment to the Islands is something which people should look up to.

Pffffft! The time you spend defending and mentoring, the time you spend working on TITO, the gracious intelligence that you constantly bring to bear on the military side of our region's administration?

There is no doubt whatsoever that you deserve this, AD. Yes, you are different than Wordy, and contribute in different areas than she does, but that does not in the slightest diminish your contribution to 10000 Islands. Look at all the nations that are involved with TITO, and the time they spend enjoying doing that. (Plus look at all the invasions that have been thwarted as a result of your efforts.) You are a major reason why TITO is so successful - and none of us will ever doubt it, or forget it.

Besides, I shudder to think what would happen if you ever started spamming. You'd likely blow most of Taco Island out of the water!

AD, just because you don't spam doesn't change the fact that you are an incredibly important member of our community. You've served in the CO9, moderate our boards, often comment on GA and SC proposals, oh and you defend a little bit.

The islands is many things to many people. You and Wordy deserve this equally. Without hesitation.
