The theme is that each poem should in some way commemorate a decade of the 10000 Islands.

There was a war in the early days,
ever since that act we looked this way,
to friendship, peace and help,
for you invaders, we will have your scalp,
To kill our knights you will try,
but we will win with Grubs war cry,
ten long years we been defender of others,
for in our lands we are all sisters and brothers,
Titanica and Fleeb were the first of many,
We invented the taco to spend a penny,
An alliance we had but not no more,
for that was ages ago in 2004,
Noaigate was the greatest scandal of all,
But now we stand proud and tall,
If the last ten years have been a test,
with flying colours we became the best.
Decade of a Dynasty
We’ve gathered to commemorate
The birth of one who’s dream
Has left its mark on NationStates
(and all of us ‘twould seem)
Ten years ago when Grub was born
This visionary man
Brought forth the region we call home
It was his master plan
To welcome those whose paths in life
Would otherwise not meet
Providing them with common ground
‘Twas an amazing feat
Exuding excellence, he set
The bar exceeding high
Now other regions copy us
(In truth they only try)
Adversity we’ve overcome
When others, envious
Misjudged our strength and tried to take
Control, subduing us
With help from friends we won the day
Defeat our foes did taste
And now their homeland has become
Our trophy – laid to waste
So thank you Grub for bringing forth
This region we adore
Your first decade was stellar and
We wish you many more
