A few months ago I dreamed that I was on the run from monsters or zombies in a post nuclear apocalyptic world, and I happened upon a greenhouse and decided to go inside in search of edible plants.

The inside was dirty, the concrete cracked, rivulets of water ran across parts of the broken floor, and creeping vines had overtaken the walls. Without care, many of the plants had died and more naturally occurring hardy plants had crept in. It was clear that nothing edible was in the main room.

A strange hum was coming from the back of the building though, an odd sound halfway between radio static and bees. I followed the sound only to discover cellar doors and a large staircase leading down into an underground room. Nervously, I descended, more than half expecting to find a corpse infested with flies.

As in many dreams, the underground room was inexplicably lighted. There were no lights, and there were no windows, yet everything was lit. At the time the oddness of this scenario did not occur to me. The lighting though, was natural. It didn't have the harsh feel of electric lights.

At the bottom of the stairs I quickly realized that the cellar was a hybrid of a scientific research lab, and an extension of the greenhouse. Exotic plants sat side by side with strange menacing equipment and tables with charts and graphs.

I immediately located the source of the sound. Hovering above and around a particularly leafy plant were several odd, shiny bees. They were almost perfectly egg shaped, and appeared to be made of plastic. They're eyes were googly and cartoonish, practically bugging from their heads, and they had no legs at all.

They didn't all face the same direction, but each continued to face in the same direction it had been facing as they all churned, each keeping to a set and regular circular path, passing never less than an inch or more than four inches from another of it's kind.

The odd little bees had no stingers, and I was extremely curious. I walked up, and when they did not seem agitated by my approach, I scooped a handful up. It seemed they emanated static from their bodies that both kept them clustered together, and from actually touching one-another. They tickled, and holding the little swarm felt like holding a gas or a bubble of energy.

I couldn't resist shaking them, to see what would happen. Thrown only momentarily out of their static orbits, they clinked and clatter together, making the most delightful hollow tinny plastic sound.

I spent a lot of time just playing with the little marble sized bees, mostly just enjoying their sound... I woke up almost immediately after realizing my "team" I'd been with hadn't followed me down here or come searching for me yet. I was rather disappointed. They were adorable X3

Last night I dreamed that I was still in high school. On the way into class I noticed that very very few people were there, and began to wonder if school had been called off for some reason. The day was overcast and very damp, but there wasn't any snow and there hadn't been a flood, so I couldn't fathom why there were so few people about.

As I sat down in my seat in what I believe was a science classroom and looked up at the depressed looking teacher (a teacher generated by my own mind, not one I've ever actually had), he stood up and addressed the three of us that were there.

"Class," he said, "as you clearly do not know, Pinkie Pie has disappeared into a portal. This means the portal might still be somewhere in the school. I would advise you join the portal destroying team or go home." Then he sat back down.

For whatever reason, I panicked. I somehow knew that other students had wondered into the portal as well, and if I didn't go back through it and get them out, they'd be lost forever. So I ran outside, parkouring around the schoolyard looking for a portal in hopes of finding it before the destroying team did.

As I ran and leaped and climbed, school officials began to chase me, demanding that I stop immediately. Somehow I outran them and ended up in an alleyway with a staircase that led down into what looked like a subway system. Just next to the rail that divided the staircase was a Chinese elementary student on his bike.

The kid looked up at me and said, "I've been to Texas so I know what the difference between sex between animals and sex between humans is." Then he leaped onto his bike and grinded the railing into oblivion - right through the invisible portal.

(sidenote: No, I have nothing against Texans, I have absolutely no idea where any of that came from... I had talked to a friend who lives in texas recently, but I have no idea what that has to do with animal or human sex at all ._.)

I followed him through the portal, sliding down the rail on my butt. Once through it I found myself in a street market in Beijing China. "Quickly!" I thought, "I have to get a disguise on before I'm discovered!".

I ran into a dress shop and purchased a robe with the Yuan I had in my wallet. (Where I got the yuan I have no idea). I put on the robe and casually walked into a deserted room of another dress shop where I pried open a barrel of what looked like gold glitter mixed in glue or some other paste. I used a stick that looked an awful lot like a bass drum mallet to stir the goop, then began to paint in the air with it where the glittery stuff simply turned into a thick, opaque, half-solid smoke as it dried. My disguise would be as a smoke-dress maker.

While working on a particularly difficult part of the smoke dress where the mallet seemed too big to paint the beginning of the sleeve, a customer wondered in. It was an old highschool friend (a girl mind you) dressed like an emperor and wearing a fake mustache. Surprised, I laughed out loud and asked "Why is it always fake mustaches when it comes to you and your disguises?" (which again makes very little sense; I've never seen her with fake facial hair ever)

She looked angry and terrified at the same time as she leaped forward and covered my mouth, hissing, "Shhhh! You'll blow my cover!" Then we nodded at each other and wondered off to find the others we needed to bring back.

It was shortly after this that I woke up XD

I once dreamt that I was driving my car and for some reason rolled it several times. During the wreck I suddenly found myself outside the car watching it come towards me until it came to rest right side up. I walked over and saw myself inside the car. It then dawned on me that I was dead, looking at my body. Once that happened I began to rise, and I started clawing furiously trying to hold on to the car. At that point I woke up. I got rid of the car shortly after that, although not because of the dream.

I think the scariest dream I ever had involved radioactive clouds rolling in in the middle of the night.

Welllllll I remember this one time I had a dream about being a Jedi in Star Wars XD

And another time where I was being chased through a junkyard by wolves, sorta looks like Death Valley from BF3, very blue tint. And one of the wolves bit my hand off.

And another one where I fell for a while then landed on a spike. I woke up and my chest hurt. Scariest thing ever.

I've had too many dreams about me being "alone" on Earth and chasing shadows around corners in some sort of post apocalypse. Weird.

Also bad dreams about monster trucks and falling upwards then reverse gravity...

LOL, that first one would have been fun though! I had a dream once that I was in MineCraft

The wolves one sounds scary o.o I have dreams where I need to stealthily evade adversaries sometimes (zombies, 50's style mobsters, a crazy Death Metal band intent on filleting everyone, etc.) but as soon as chases happen I somehow end up on the "bad guy's" side and therefore doing the chasing myself. I remember one dream where I ended up on all fours because suddenly I was a werewolf running with the pack instead of away from it, and another where I became one of the Xenomorphs so I didn't have to be hiding anymore X3
I don't think I've ever lost a limb in a dream o.o I'm pretty sure that'd wake me up out of sheer horror.

The spike thing's pretty freaky too... but you probably got one of those chest hitches that hurt really bad in real life while you were sleeping and that's what caused you to fall on the spike in your dream, not the other way around X3 At least I'd certainly hope that's the case!

I had a dream a LOT like that actually. I remember the sky was sludge black but somehow the streets in the city were lit as if it were day, though a bit more blue-green tinted than sunlight is. The buildings and shops were fairly modern, but made more of brick than anything, and the streets were brick and held mostly Model T cars. There were people too, but they were more like mannequins or wax figures because they didn't see or react to anything new and literally followed identical tracks for their life every day without so much as a centimeter's deviation from that track... not even their eyes would move to face me if I waved in front of their faces. The shadows I was chasing around corners turned out to be strange foxes who's ears were so large the base of them went all the way to their shoulders. Oh, and phones would ring randomly and I was afraid that if I picked them up and answered them I'd be set on a track like everyone else trapped there.

I've never had anything like a monstertruck dream X3

Falling up or reverse gravity would be REALLY interesting though! I'd LOVE to have those dreams Closest I've come to anything like that is my "flying" dreams because usually when I can "fly" it's more like I'm weightless and I have to doggy paddle around. Sort of anti-gravity-ish~

Mine were more when its a feeling of falling towards a void of darkness that surrounds everything. Its hard to explain

I have an over-active imagination, so I have some pretty off-the-wall dreams.

The one I'm about to describe was spawned from watching too many episodes of The Sopranos in one sitting and also reading a book with mob-type characters:

So, I'm riding in this car with Tony Soprano and a pair of his non-descript goons. I'm sitting in the back seat between the goons and Tony's driving. There's a frightened man in the passenger seat.

Tony suddenly pulls off to the side of the road, then looks back at me. He tells me to kill the guy in the passenger seat. I pull a gun out, aim it at the man's head and squeeze the trigger without hesitation. My gun turns out to be one of those joke guns--you know, the ones that produce a flag that says 'Bang!' on it when you pull the trigger.

Tony gives me an exasperated look and I wake up.

I think I laughed for like fifteen minutes before I finally got out of bed.

This time I don't remember all the specifics of what I dreamed last night :\

BUT, I do know it involved living in a post-apocalyptic radioactive world with both "zombies" and some of the MineCraft monsters.

I don't know who all I was with, but I had a group I was traveling with and we were going around raiding/scavenging from ruined buildings and stuff. We didn't have to worry about Monsters until after dark, but we were on the lookout for "zombies".

In the dream, "zombies" weren't necessarily mindless beasts or possessed dead bodies, but they COULD and often WERE people who'd gone bat sh*t crazy and conformed to our notion of "zombie" in that way, purely because they'd lost all sense of self.
What really happened was that some people who received just the right amount of radiation when the bombs dropped began to rot from the outside in, but just couldn't die. So many people who couldn't mentally handle what was happening to themselves lost it, so to speak. But not everyone did; sometimes the "zombies" were just rotting people who still thought normally. This wasn't common though. Most of the "zombies" saw what was happening to them and based on movies and stuff just assumed they were going to be that kind of zombie and through a sort of mass hysteria (not unlike that which allowed the Witch Trials to happen) brainwashed groups of them into acting that way.

Anyway, in one building we found a small-ish group of sleeping "zombies" (yes, zombies still had to sleep. Except for that they couldn't die they still felt hunger and had to sleep and all that) but two girls were awake. They looked up, frightened that we'd shoot them (because they still felt pain too) and they were obviously not as screwed up as most "zombies" had become. Suddenly I realized I knew them! They were two of my friends from Highschool, Gabriela and Grace. They saw me recognize them and must have recognized me too because after whispering for a moment Gabby put a rotted finger up to her mouth as if to shush me, and Grace began looking worriedly around at the sleeping zombies as if afraid of waking them up. They helped each other stand up and silently got out from the group.

I don't remember them meeting the rest of my team or anything, but I do remember them explaining to me how they'd helped to keep each other sane and just KNEW there had to be people out there who'd survived better than they had. They were delighted to be with real people again and to hear that not all zombies had gone nuts and they weren't alone. I'm certain they were going to be traveling with us from then on.

The only other part of the dream I remember is racing back to our temporary base, slowed by the inability to run of our newest zombie team members, trying to get back before night fell. It was getting dark really quickly and I know we avoided looking at an Enderman and by the time we got back everyone still there were frantically trying to make new doors and part of a wall because a Creeper had blown them off.

OH YEAH! And some time before we found Grace and Gabby we found an abandoned hardware store where I filled my pockets with batteries, bullets, and a book light I figured my mom would like. I also pried up a piece of loose floorboard and scooped out seven or eight bottlecaps from underneath and had to go running when a sniper from somewhere almost shot me.



Clearly the zombie mood I've been in didn't mix well with reading that MLP/Fallout crossover fanfic Fallout:Equestria and Minecraft XD

Aaaand now last night I dreamed I was stuck in an inventory room taking inventory of all the plants. I had to record the type of plant and how long it had been in existence.

I had this sponge (with a scour side!) that I had to touch to the base of the plant and words would pop up in front of my vision telling me the name of the plant and a date. I had to be careful to touch the base of the plant and not the roots (because the date would be too early) and not to touch too far up (because the sponge apparently knew when each part of the plant grew, and it would tell me the wrong date up there too).

Most of the plants were Cactus or Jade :\ It was a very boring dream. Seriously. Real-life log-block (a minecraft feature). How boring can you get?

Had a dream last night about shooting a guy with an automatic pist and he wouldn't die. Strange.

We were hosting Thanksgiving dinner at the apartment I'm at now, except all the furniture is where it was before we moved it around back in...sometime earlier this year. A guy I can't remember ever having met but who I'm assured is the silversmith shows up with a dog (a tan and white boxer with a cold) and a cake for a party being held in my room for some reason. His dog curls up next to mine, and I try to take a picture of them with a graphing calculator.

Now it's night and everyone's in a different house. Someone's eating a pear, but it's not a pear. It's a pear on the outside, but the inside looks like a cocoa tree seed pod. Everyone's drinking beers that have had roasted seeds and fruits simmered in them. Bill Nye, The Science Guy is there for some reason. I think he had a cherry beer. I decided on cranberry. My aunt suggested adding oats, and I agreed. She and my grandfather roasted the cranberry and oats, poured them in the simmering beer, and then I woke up.

What I think this dream means is that I need to stop watching Good Eats for a while.

Ok, so I've got two dreams here... I vocally recorded them into DropBox right after I woke up but I haven't gotten around to transcribing them here yet ^^; This first one is six days old.


I was in my college, kind of camped out in the hallway, which for some reason had some tables and equipment reminiscent of that in the Jeffersonian as seen on the TV show "Bones". The halls were mostly deserted, but there was something like a cancer walk going on - it wasn't the relay for life, but it was something similar and I think it was for heart disease. Either way my little blip of hallway wasn't part of the circle, it just branched off of the circuit so I was still basically alone.

I was packing up my things and trying not to be seen doing it. In my backpack was a fox tail, a dead chicken, and a dead duck I had just been given. I don't know WHY I had them, but they were for something important or at least logical (probably an art project or something, but I don't know). All I can remember was that, as I was wrapping them up in my bag, the feet of both birds were sticking out and all I could think was "if someone saw my bag right now they'd be really freaked out", with an air of "if only they knew what was really going on here".
As I tied the bag shut the duck's feet fell off. I remember thinking to myself as I picked them up and dropped them into my bag that duck feet looked like a hooves with a claw when they weren't attached to the body.

As I finished packing up my mom came walking up from the heart disease walk circuit (or was it a tuberculosis walk?) because we had to get our passes so we could actually participate in the walk and have it count. So we went up to a window and got these yellow papers which were, apparently, the passes. I have no idea why this is important, but my dream made a big deal about the fact that the passes weren't laminated, but were instead inside two sheet protectors. One facing one direction and the other facing the opposite direction over the top of the first one. My mom and I even had a discussion about it.

So we started walking and at one part of the walk's circle I noticed we were two stories up from the ground and just over the edge of the walkway was a set of bleachers overlooking a baseball game or Olympic type sporting event of some sort, which was going on at the same time because people were in the bleachers watching. A friend from my art class, Dustin is his name, was walking up by us and managed to fall over the edge and land sitting in the bleachers where he laughed about how awesome a landing that was until his face turned red. Then his smile melted away and he was crying instead because he'd broken both his legs and the adrenaline had just worn off. But he still thought the landing was awesome, and he still thought it was cool, he just hurt too. We called an ambulance for him and moved on as if nothing had happened.

Somehow the track we were following ended up outside following a path through a rocky shored "pond". It seemed like a never ending bog, but I assigned the word pond to it. Anyway, on a small sandy island near the rocky shore was a mother with her baby in a "baby carriage" (it was actually just a tall and covered stroller). She asked me to keep an eye on her baby for her, and I agreed. As I was waiting around for her to come back I was plucking random plants from the ground. I pulled up a broccoli fluff only to discover it was what the carriage was tied to, so now I had to stay until the mom came back (which, in retrospect, makes me wonder what I had planned on doing previous to accidentally untying the carriage... maybe I meant I couldn't safely wander a few yards away and had to stay RIGHT with the carriage now. I can't remember any my recording doesn't elaborate).

The day faded to night and I "fell asleep". The next thing I knew I was waking up in my yard. I freaked out, realizing I'd not stayed awake to watch the baby and not knowing how I'd gotten here.

I used to have nightmares about this huge mansion that was inside a spooky tree. I was kind of young and had recurring dreams about the same place for almost a decade. The house was huge, probably 5 or 6 stories tall. I'm not sure why it was inside a tree, I just remember that it was. The ground floor seemed okay, but any time I'd venture up the steps to a higher level I ended up regretting it. I probably dreamt about that house 8 to 10 times each year from the time I was 7 up until I graduated high school. I've only have 1 or 2 dreams about it in the 20+ years since I graduated.

I had a really weird dream earlier this week. I was in my van driving away from my parents' house (they live out in the country).

As I was driving past some fields that were used for farming when I was growing up I noticed two dead bulls in one of them on my left. They were enormous, about the size of elephants, although their size didn't strike me as odd at the time. I also failed to notice any fencing that would be used to enclose cattle around the edges of the field they were in. Then I noticed a bunch of huge vultures or buzzards flying towards the dead bulls. Next I saw bats hanging upside down from the power lines along the road. They were huge as well. Probably had bodies that were 3-4 feet long. I never saw one take flight, so I don't know what their wingspan would have been. As I continued, I came upon what I first thought was a massive wreck. There were a lot of police and other emergency vehicles parked along the road and there was a massive house painted a light yellow on the right side of the road (it doesn't actually exist on this road).

The next memory I have is of pulling into the driveway of that house and not seeing a car wreck, but the house itself was falling apart. Only now it looked like a barn and it was red. I could see a huge open space that looked like a garage area for tractor trailers, and there were a few of the tractors inside (I do work for a trucking company so that may have influenced this portion of the dream). While I was walking up to the building, a person walking along the 2nd story of the building was injured when that part of the barn collapsed under him.

The next thing I remember is being inside the house with someone giving me a tour. I remember looking at the wood paneling used in the walls and it was shot through with decay. I could poke my fingers into the walls. I also remember seeing some lovely stonework around the fireplace and on a path outside. I asked the man giving me the tour about the possibility of purchasing the stones and he kept saying 'nope'.

At the end of the dream I was walking back to my van and the man walked up and handed me his business card. It was kind of green with a black circle in the middle of it. In the center of the circle was a large letter 'K'. The man's name was Mr. Knope, ironic since the only word he ever said to me was 'nope'.

I have no idea what to make of that one.

All I have is a note I wrote at 2:30 this morning:

"And as I stood there in the airport, staring at this...truly enormous wall cling, I realized it contained every conceivable event in a child's life: their first kiss, their first unwilling kiss, Jon^[sic] Waters dressed as a pixie moaning about crackers...A man, broken and ashamed, bought this thing for his daughter."

Okay, I've got another one. I went to a small town in Washington state (probably. It was never explicitly stated.) to help solve a murder. After using bulls**t FBI x-ray glasses, I shot the oversized turban off of a Sikh shopkeeper, and then killed the psychic sentient cobra that was controlling him.

I guess the moral of the story is, I'm really glad that I'm done watching that Let's Play of Deadly Premonition, and that weird, Twin Peaks-ripoff bulls**t will get you one way or the other.
