[XKI Sports League]

The XKI Sports League is pleased to introduce a new Soccer League (or if you prefer, Football).  The inaugural season will begin soon and we hope you will take part! The cost to participate is a very reasonable 5,000 Tacos just send your donation to XKI Sports League. Don't have enough Tacos? Don't worry, subsidies are available upon request.

So what do you have to do? Simply post your team name and colours, along with your style of play between -5 and +5 (-5 being very defensive, 0 being balanced, and +5 being very aggressive). You are also encouraged to submit your starting eleven players, though these are not required. The outcomes of the games are determined using a scorinator.

• We're hoping to have ten or more teams sign up.
  
• There will be a regular and post season.
• Each team will play their opponents twice before the post season starts

The prizes are as follows:

1st place - 20,000 Tacos + League Cup
2nd place - 10,000 Tacos
3rd place - 5,000 Tacos


There are also a number of communities, the idea is loosely based off of RL regional competitions that take place between neighbouring teams. eg. the Cascadia Cup. In the communities, you only get points for winning/drawing against teams in the same community. Each team will play its fellow community members twice. The team with the most points from these matches will win the community. (Note: These community matches also count as regular season matches)

Edit: Gratuitous background info on the team's name. Hintertupfingen is used in German as a stand-in for an insignificant, out-of-the-way, fictitious town, with the characteristic suffix -ingen. Rasenspiele means 'games on a lawn', an antiquated football club name, which you still sometimes see in the abbreviation VfR: Verein für Rasenspiele: Association for lawn games.

New Ecopia International was established by Comoros Sanchez in 1890 to introduce The Democratic Republic of New Ecopia to the art of soccer which consisted of twenty two of the nations best athletes who played there first match but against each other as NEI 1st XI and NEI 2nd XI with a final score of 3-3 at Ecopia Park.

Over the years New Ecopia International has shown the world a new art of soccer of Densetsu-tekina kōsei which had lead them to countless victories hence giving them legendary status in the world of soccer. Also New Ecopia International had produced legendary soccer players such as Kikio Niro, Antoine Lefèvre, Kenoyi Mikhail and Kenneth Southampton who still plays for New Ecopia International ever since they have started in 2002 at the age of 16.

Today, New Ecopia International is working on a new project, the aim is to pass down the Densetsu-tekina kōsei tradition to junior soccer prodigies within the nation and around the world to produce an new breed of soccer legends to the world.

Hello everyone and thank you for joining us! Here we are at the beginning of a new league and an inaugural season. In the words of the legendary Bill Derek, "I’m not going to lie to you, I’m not in the best shape, but I’m going to try my best and live up to the spirit of this league. If the game gets close, I will bite, I bite will bite every tournament player if I have to." If you're confused by this, that's ok - we are too. 

Throughout the course of the regular season, each team will play 26 games. Each team will play there opponents twice, once at home and ones on the oppositions pitch. The outcome of these games will determine whether a team qualifies for the XKI Cup tournament. Additionally, there will be community cups split along XKI House lines, with visitors and those not in Houses forming a seperate 'House'. Each win is worth three points, each draw(tie) is worth 1 point, and a loss is worth nil. At the end of the season the 6 teams with the most points will be seeded into tournament spots. If, at the end of the season, there is a tie between the 6th and 7th (etc.) teams, the tied teams will play each other to determine post-season qualification.
