Good morning and welcome from the Senate Press Briefing Room, where we've gathered for the Grand Opening of
War of the Houses
Before we move to round one, let's meet our contestants - here they come:
First up, we have the House of TITO Field Commander Wordy, featuring a very special candidate: Wintreath Ambassador @tredania
Right behind him is the team from the House of TITO Tactical Officer Ater Nox, Consisting of the House Leader himself, accompanied by TITO Knight Tanzoria and kuknos.
The Equipe du Markanite features our very own WA Delegate, alongside TITO Knight Control and Recruiting Officer The Jensmonian Empire
The House of Mayor Aersoldorf has pulled all the registers and has put together the maximum number of 5 members for their team: The Mayor himself, as well as Minister The Candy Lane, his Deputy Hahiha / USSR, Foreign Affairs Secretary Witchcraft and Sorcery and the team barkeeper Palman.
Last, but certainly not least, we have the House of TITO Knight Master Commander Ananke II, accompanied by Klopstock, a wise old poet from Germany's late 18th century.
Welcome to the Arena, Friends. We will now settle which of these five houses is the best house in XKI. The Houses of Grub, Boltor, Ayunli, Paffnia, MinnaCaroline, Mal and Echolilia apparently all chose to forfeit by not signing up
Before we finally jump in, let's review the rules.
You will be given one task (and maybe additional bonus tasks) at the start of each week.
After that week, points will be assigned. For the first three weeks, the House with the lowest overall score is eliminated. That will leave us with two Houses in Week four, which will fight for the 1st, and 2nd place. Okay? Okay!
So here are the Round 1 assignments:
The XKI House system is strongly connected with recruiting. However, we will not do another accelerator-based recruiting contest, we just did that. We will go in another direction:
There are a lot of nations in the 10000 Islands who do not yet belong to any House. Your task is to get as many nations as possible to join your house! For any new House member who was not previously member of any House you will be awarded 100 points! That means, convincing people to switch houses will not get you any points. The deadline is Sunday, 10pm forum time. Any new members after the deadline will not be counted. How you get them to join, is no concern of mine. You can sift through the forums and look for housless members, you can TG nations, you can advertise on the RMB, I genuinely don't care, as long as you stay inside the rules and laws of XKI. This is of course a task where your house mates are allowed to help you.
Bonus Round: Poet Laureate Contest
Any team member submitting an entry for the ongoing Poet Laureate Contest will be awarded 150 points. Due to the anonymus nature of the contest, these will be awarded after the contest closes (which is in two weeks). So if your team has been eliminated by then, the points obviously will not be added. I would like to thank the Minister of Labour Paffnia for his co-operation in this bonus round.
READY? SET?! GO!!!
