Hi everyone, our friends over in the RIA are hosting this year's FRAVision contest and we're looking for an entry to send from 10KI. I'm still working on finding out the dates and such, but I did want to go ahead and get this out there for everyone to start thinking about. If you're interested in competing then please pm me your entry and we will hold a public vote to select which entry to submit to the competition.

You pick an actual song of your desire, and you create new lyrics and a new performance for it. It could be any lyrics or performance.

You cannot use the lyrics and the performance that are on the song.

My limited understanding is that you create lyrics to the tune of a song you like, sing it with the instrumental version of said song, video it and upload to YouTube or a similar video sharing site. Then send in the link as your entry.

Writing an original song is also an option, few people have picked that in the past but my favourite entry from last year was original. Favourite even above my own!

To clarify, this didn't really happen last year, but the previous years it was also allowed (so I presume it still is) to just submit a written lyric without actually recording it, and even to just submit an existing song. Recording your song (and doing it well) does significantly raise your chances at winning, I'd say, and submitting an existing song without any own involvement will probably not get you many points at all... But it is allowed
