As the rp forum is explicitly separate from the nationstates game, I can't post this poll there, and I couldn't really decide where in this forum would be the best place. Moderators please move this thread if you can think of somewhere better.
Essentially situation is this:
I've created the in-game fiction of my nation state as an autocracy built around the idea of absolute transparency - a society with laws forbidding privacy, confidentiality or institutional secrets. In this fictional state, there is no protection of medical records, no official secrets act, no client-lawyer confidentiality and so on. While no-one is obliged to publish data, if it is recorded, then it has to be open to access: there is no private property of information.
However, an Issue has been presented with the masses demanding elections, and I've gone along with it, as the fiction I've woven has the autocratic leader stating that it has long been his intention to establish democracy when the people demand it.
In my mind, Chancellor Nathan Ortega is a man of principle (albeit twisted ones) so he is not going to go back on his intention, even if it is surprisingly ahead of schedule.

Factbook on election candidates:

Now, obviously, as the nation's author and writer, I exist outside of this fictional universe, as do you, my new Forum buddies.
However, I'd like to take on the creative challenge of not being wholly in control of the "will of the people", and would therefore be grateful if you would take the time to glance at my factbook, then cast a vote.
You can cast the vote as if you were a person in Candlewhisper, or you can do so based on your own preferences, or you can just click a random button. It doesn't really matter.
In about a week's time I'll call an end to the poll, and then proceed with my game fiction based on the results.
Thanks for your participation!
