It's that time again, folks, for a new round of Cross Regional games!
The Spring is here, well getting closer, so that means it's The Spring Games in Wysteria!
The previous Cross Regional games were a lot of fun, so I hope you all will consider participating.
In The Spring Games we will be facing off in sporting competition against other Nations from other the Regions, including Wysteria, Canada, Yggdrasil, Valhalla, Texas.
Once again, the competition will be fierce in several athletic categories, listed below. So bring on A Dragon Mask, your Mardi Gras Sexy flying suit, a Cushion to sit on - as Camels aren't that comfy - as well as your best facial expression, as you know that smiling won't get you the gold at the Synchronized Swimming.
Here's a brief description of each event below:
1. Parkour – Parkour involves seeing one's environment in a new way, and imagining the potentialities for navigating it by movement around, across, through, over and under its Urban features.
There will be 7 Movements basic movements being required throughout the track:
Implementing 4 give a certain score. Implementing all 7 gives a 150% bonus.
Using of Equipment results in penalty points.
Will require a map of the track.
2. Chess Boxing - The competitors fight in alternating rounds of chess and boxing (11 rounds in total which start and end in chess). Each round lasts 3 minutes (18 in total). Winning based on who took most rounds.
3. Extreme Ironing - take ironing boards to remote locations and iron items of clothing.
We can put 4-5 rounds each in different extreme remote spot not to mention ironing while diving.
4. Flying Squirrel Suit – Squirrel gear or any other Mardi Gras costume.
Score will be based on: Landing safely, Stunts & best Improvised costume.
5. Camel Race – will be on two surface; Grass (2.5km) & desert (10km).
6. Throwing heavy objects – competition will start in the vicinity of a junkyard. It Will require throwing to a distance objects in different sizes and weight.
Score will be granted on weight, size and distance and the combination of weight vs distance (like object thrown to long distance might count less than heavy weight for short distance)
7. Spelling Bee – Spell pseudoword Non-Homophonic words correctly. (can be singles or team)
8. Spouse Carrying – carry your spouse through a track of objects, with maybe the opportunity to trip or knock down other couples.
9. Synchronized Swimming – Team event. Scoring will be based on Artistic impression, execution, and difficulty.
10. Dragon Boat Race – Team event. Will have two heats: sprint & long distance. Score will be based on time & Team work.
All you need to do is to state your Nation Name, and the names of athlete(s) or the name of teams you are sending to each category, below it.
This is a Unisex Event. You may submit either Female or Male name(s) of athletes to the different categories.
If you are submitting names of athletes that are hard to understand whether they are men or women, please put (m) or (f) after their names.
Suffice to say that Team categories require the name of your team and not individuals.
We also have an Advertising thread this year!
The thread will also be closed on the 28th, too.
