Repeal "Law Enforcement Education"
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Description: WA General Assembly Resolution #365: Law Enforcement Education (Category: International Security; Strength: Significant) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: The Assembly of Worlds,

Believing that better public relations with law enforcement are conducive to a harmonious and well-ordered society, but,

Rejecting the claim that such relations have deteriorated lately, as this is not the case in most nations,

Believing that this is simply not an international issue, as nations can deal with law enforcement education without World Assembly intervention in crime and judicial procedure,

Concerned that "Law Enforcement Education" requires public funding to be given to law enforcement agencies even in nations that use private police forces instead of public law enforcement agencies,

Disappointed that even though this is not an issue the World Assembly should deal with, the target resolution doesn't even deal with the issue adequately, as although it requires funding to be allocated for education programs and attendance of law enforcement officers at such education programs, it fails to require that those programs actually be created,

Also Disappointed by the resolution's lack of
- Three oranges, peeled and de-veined,
- Two hundred and fifty milliliters of milk or coconut milk,
- One egg plus two egg yolks (from chickens),
- Five milliliters of vanilla extract,
- Thirty milliliters of raw honey (preferably from Terran bees), and
- Three hundred and seventy-five millileters of ice,

despite the obvious benefits of including these and an electric blender at public meetings,

Shocked at the target's failure to combine everything except oranges and ice in a blender and mixing for about twenty seconds to create a frothy cream, before adding the oranges and blending for another twenty seconds or until smooth; and at last adding the ice and blending for another twenty seconds,

Hereby Repeals GA#365, "Law Enforcement Education".

The target resolution is not only inappropriate for the World Assembly because it makes no effort to account for differences between member nations (as some may suffer from issues between law enforcement and citizens while others may have stellar relationships between law enforcement and citizens), it doesn't even achieve its goals effectively. The Dominion of Liagolas urges an affirmative vote FOR this REPEAL.

I'm fully against. It makes a mockery of the WA by including cra p such as this.

Well, it was an attempt at humour, which can be seen when checking out the original GA debate.
IIRC, someone said something along the lines of "I'd vote for a repeal of that resolution even if it was only a recipe for Orange Julius". The obvious joke being that the original resolution was so immensely bad that one is inclined to vote for just about any repeal.

I'm going to abstain on our poll for this one. I really really want that resolution repealed, but I share your sentiment, that the author is taking their joke too far.

Oh, sure. I make a mockery of the GA with a recipe in a repeal, when an actual resolution has

"Laboring to pay attention after lengthy drinking binges last night at a well-known local pub (which, for purposes of this resolution, and for liability reasons, cannot be named)...

"...Ignoring the findings of a recent census of WA diplomats, revealing a disturbing prevalence among international envoys of "drunks, stoners, weirdos, military fruitcakes, sex addicts, rejects, dear little kiddies, honest family types" and militant machistas;

"Declaring, nonetheless, that it would be nice for these inmates to have an asylum to run;"

If the WA is made into a mockery by an Orange Julius recipe, then the WA has been a mockery since GA#8, if not since GA#1, where it was created after a "colossal fireball of extra-dimensional inanity".

Speaking of that, let's not forget that this a GAME made by MAX BARRY, a guy with a sense of humor, as evidenced by every news post ever and his comments on his own website (the one about him, not NS). Any website which features annual zombie invasions, occasional conversions to a dating site or a card game, and fictional national issues which allow you to have your citizens go full tinfoil-hat mode, is not one where an Orange Julius recipe causes it to lose all reputation.

Ignoring the recipe for the moment, The original is a horrible resolution: we vote that member states need to spend more of their public tax payer money on promoting an internal issue. This is not grounds for International Coercion and does lack any understanding any country's internal politics and structure. For example, Shadow has almost no crime and most police just spend their time on directing traffic and issuing parking and speeding tickets. The amount of money to be spent is vague, the frequency of such meetings are not defined and the WA is not offering to pay for it. If you aren't willing to pay, then Shadow doesn't support it as we live by our national motto: In Goddess we Trust, all others pay cash.

Now, back to the recipe. The original resolution was SO BAD that the lack of an orange julius recipe to improve it is valid. There needed to be something to make it better.

I am for the repeal completely.
