I know a few of us here play chess, mainly using www.gameknot.com to play against each other. I wanted to create this thread in case anybody else would like to join us.
Side note, I always miss the Chess World Championships and Cups. Last year I was able to watch the last few games starting around the semi-finals and watching until Magnus Carlsen beat Sergey Karjakin. I finally remembered in time, it's only round 4 so far. This year it's being hosted in Tbilsi, Georgia. The games are at 15:00 local time which is 06:00 CDT for me.
Edit: I found out that the Chess World Cup is the qualifier for people who wish to play in the Chess World Championship next year. That being said, Magnus Carlsen did drop out in round 3.
