Liberdon for New Republica South: High Hopes!

Hello everyone! I am Liberdon, Lib, Libby, or, if your prefer, the Manic but Adorable Penguin. You have likely seen me around Taco Island, serving delicious meals in the Taco Island Lounge and stretching the definition of a question in Questions Only. I have been in XKI for over two years and have served as Deputy Senator for Blue Canaria North and am currently serving as TIBOE Chair and Casino Shift Manager. I love this region and this community, and I want to do everything I can to contribute to it, including running for Senator for New Republica South!

Why should you vote for me?

I have plenty of prior experience. For the past six months, I have served as Deputy Senator for NRS under Valentian Elysium and Lunaflower, and in the last month, I have been serving as Interim Senator for NRS. In total, I have posted 12 polls, so I am well accustomed to running the Grand Debate Hall.

I bring creativity and humor to the Grand Debate Hall. Some of my polls include debates on silly, minuscule topics such as “Green or Red Grapes?” and “Cake or Pie?”. And of course, I have posted more outlandish polls such as “What is your favorite number?” and “What is the Color of Your Voice?” that explore downright ridiculous topics.

I promise a weekly poll and a monthly debate. In addition to a weekly poll on a fun, lighthearted topic, if elected, I will post monthly debates on more “hot-button” issues (i.e. paper vs plastic, electric vs gasoline cars, college vs trade schools) that have been popping up in the news. I’ll never include anything too polarizing (abortion, gun control, etc.) unless it is highly requested. The debates would follow standard XKI Discord and RMB policy (i.e. no hate speech, spamming, or name-calling). I would act as moderator of the debates, making sure that the guidelines are respected.

I love suggestions. If there is a particular topic you want to bring up for discussion or are interested in seeing a poll on, just PM me, and we'll chat.  No idea is too crazy to be considered!

Other "qualifications"...

I have a fantastic personality! I've been known to be upbeat, somewhat optimistic, and very friendly. Well, that's according to me...but don't worry, I'll find some more references soon!

I know more puns than is generally healthy. If you can't tell, I love to make puns, and lime berry bad at them. Durian my time as Casino Shift Manager, I managed to crack so many puns that I ran out of juice. Orange you glad that you know that now? No? I guess I've left you speachless.

I love animals. At one time or another, I have lived with up to 4 dogs, 7 hamsters, 8 kittens, 3 rabbits, and waaaaay too many fish. They all say I'm awesome, so I guess it's true.
