It looks like the economic recovery is picking up steam a bit. People have largely recovered from many of the economic depredations of the last several years, and are starting to feel confident that things will continue to get better. Purchases are up. This has necessitated an increase in cross-island flights to move raw materials into the factories that make the goods, and then transporting said finished goods back to the multitude of stores selling them.
The problem though is that the prices of goods have increased at a rapid rate as well. In order to get control over the inflation rate, many islands have raised interest rates. This tends to force stock prices lower, so we have the odd situation of a rising tide in the economy offset by falling stock prices.
As a result of all of this, people that own shares of the Air Shipping shop item have gained a 1,000 taco bonus this month, while stock losses are as noted below.
