Sorry for the lack of a fanciful name; these are just notes.
These are some ideas about how to get new members fully on board and keep people engaged. The idea is to gradually show more and more of XKI, at a pace the new person is comfortable with, and according to their interests.
Basic checklist - these are the most basic elements to get a new person engaged with XKI rather than just answering issues. It would make sense if whomever recruited the new member took responsibility to make sure all steps are finished, but that may add more to the recruiters' plates than is reasonable. We could have someone else do follow-ups for anyone who seems to be lagging.
* join the WA
* register *and confirm* on the forum
* join the Discord
* join a House
* claim Stipend money and awards
Once the new person joins the House we should talk with them about what they said about their interests in the welcome thread and tailor the next steps accordingly. It would be *really* cool if there was a House member who took responsibility for each different step.
* Roleplaying - introduce them to ATA or ATP
* TITO - obvious
* Foreign Affairs - emissary roles, intro to world assembly resolutions, allied and enemy regions and the major regional players and persons
* Culture - cultural office roles, cards co-op, event planning, games, etc.
* XKI administration - communications officer role, moderation, etc.
* Regional politics - legislation, political parties (if they return), and running for office
* Economics - how the taco economy works, running a business, what the regional reserve does
* Recruiting - obvious
