Priorities of the Council of Nine

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. The Council of Nine has entered its new legislative session and we're very excited to get to work for the Islands. Recently, we passed significant changes to the constitution which resulted in new appointments and a refocusing of our ministrial efforts. I'll be very excited to see these changes fully implemented from now onwards.

With this in mind, the Council have attempted to define our priorities moving forward, we will be working with these as our focus:

1. Updating our welcoming/information dispatch and forum information - we will be reviewing our dispatches and our 'onboarding' procedures to make sure we are advising nations effectively and retaining as many nations as we can.

2. Building A Taco Paradise and TITO - we are committed to building a secure, safe and engaging frontier region this in turn will help us increase our population even more! Through TITO we will continue to help vulnerable regions throughout the NS world.

3. Recruitment and getting more recruiters - Recruiters are the lifeblood of the region, without recruiting we won't be able to grow. Join us now and help build our community!

4. Increasing our engagement with AEGIS regions and other close allies - we are lucky to have committed allies, we in turn must show our commitment and friendship to these regions through events and mutual engagement.

5. Increasing engagement within the region - with the launch of the Ministry of Culture we will be offering even more reasons to stay a part of 10000 Islands.

With regards to A Taco Paradise, when will the region become a frontier region?  And once it does become a frontier how will we be able to keep it safe from raids considering the high profile 10000 Islands has as a prominent defender region?

In reality, it is a difficult choice to make, no frontier is 'safe' as per game dyanamics. The best we can do is make it as secure as possible, with that in mind I will work with TITO Command to ensure its safety. We continually review ATP's security and when we're in agreement that it is appropriate we will begin the transition.

As you'll be aware, there are fewer targets greater than ours so we'll take our time but we will get there.

Would it be possible to simply telegram all former residents and move to a different frontier if ATP is raided?

Yeah there is, in the event anything happens we'll take steps to protect our nations and restore the region itself.

Hypothetically just, I'd just review and revise the Executive Order designating the region as our Frontier, but we'd ideally like to build a stable community and avoid having to do that.
