Question for those who were/are addicted to NS!

Hey there,

I'm curious! Has anyone else ever had dreams about NS before?

I've had a few about posting on the forums but then today I had one that actually seemed more real life! First, I was with Yups and it involved something about a hot air balloon and then I had to go find Fleeb and I think it had something to do about the Edu. Dept. Then later, some of us were at Fleeb's house and some guys attacked us so we had a massive shoot out!

I've also had this experience with the game CounterStrike.

... Maybe I shouldn't have eaten those chocolate chips before going to sleep.

BTW, I've been called crazy many times. ;D

Actually, I see nothing to NS other than this forum, my party I'm making, and the Issues. I don't know how somebody could be addicted.

I haven't dreamed about NS yet, but I used to have real trouble dreaming about Civilization II after I'd had it for a year. I think that was after playing it for 22 hours straight when the rest of the family was gone on vacation for a week. So, yes, we all need help with our addictions...

That sounds like a great idea!

... however, I don't think that I should be the one to make up the 12 steps - I'd probably end up driving everyone who tries them a bit more insane than before they had started.

If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to voice them! Maybe they'll do me some good, or my dreams good!

Ha, yes, dreams...In my early NS-days I had a dream once about Grub, being mysterious and all. I dreamed that I saw him on tv being a CIA-agent with those big Steve-O sunglasses, a lil' moustache and quite a tan. He was smaller than I thought. The rest I don't remember, just that part. Eh, wouldn't it be car-razy if Grub turned out to be a CIA-agent, with Steve-O sunglasses, bladibladibla?

Or, Grub, should this information remain between us?

How can anybody get addicted to NS? It takes like ten minutes of commitment a day where you actually get something to do.

Yeah, the actual NS gameplay is minimal, but there's so much hanging off it. Like here for example.

I also have more than one nation and try to develop them differently.

There's A LOT to do! What are you talking about? Lol.

And like AI says, there's a lot of hanging out. Hehe, like in Taco Island...

It's also really cool because new ideas and opinions (philosophy and such) are expressed, like in Socrates Cafe, or whatever it's named.

The greatest parts about NS, for me atleast, are the things outside the actual site; like these forums and the regional government of 10000 Islands that we have all worked together to create.

Personally, I haven't answered a NS issue in weeks. ;D

I have had a dream where I was the Master Chief from Halo and one where my friend had Alien claws and we were sneaking through duct work to see dead Predators from Aliens Versus Predators 2. I am a tad distrubed I believe.

New Boniventure is right. You can even set your nation to not recieve issues.

When did you wake up? Like, did it end or was it in the middle of it?

This has nothing to do with my thread, but once I was dreaming about being in class and I raised my arm to answer a question. Then when I woke up, my arm was in the air. That was kinda... odd, to say the least.

Lol, that sorta happened to me, once. I was dreaming I was at work, and I woke up with half my uniform on. I've been known to sleepwalk, occasionally.

I had a strange dream about NS awhile back... I was in a Warzone, surrounded by these marshmallow-looking ninja stars; PAI was there, and he told me not to move, said they were explosive. He said he was gonna go get my brother. Next thing I know, everything goes all blue, and I'm in a room where a certain bad DEN songwriter was sitting on the floor with Lodz from Carnivale (HBO). He was playing dixie on the violin, and Lodz was tapping out time with his cane. So, I started throwing mandarin oranges at them. Then Fleeb called my cell phone, and told me I had to leave, and to make sure to endorse John Lennon. I woke up shortly after...

...and decided I had either lost my mind, or it was the pain meds for my ankle. Possibly both

I once had a dream where every single defeder was up against every single invader(this was like a midevil type war style except with modern weapons). I was like standing at the front lines next to HeAn and he had this like big @$$ rifle and I had a pistol. Then like the invaders charge to the tune of Dixie Land and we lose because we were all laughing so hard at MCS.

When I first started NS, I used to post around there.

It's basically impossible to find a subject again, unless you check the notification box. I tried that once. Not the best idea... I started getting a lot of emails and the replies made weren't even half decent.

Me neither. They are so massive you have no idea who anyone is. I much prefer a medium sized forum like this where you can get to know people.

I got loads of weird replies from peple I'd never heard of, in bizarre regions where people just seemed to be rude and cynical towards each other.

Also, there are some pretty not-so-decent topics on there. I forget who told me... I think it was Sheynat (?) who told me about one of 'em he came across. I'll have to see if he wants to tell, lol.

once i had a dream...every one was sitting in a very small island in front of his computer...hundreds of islands every where..i use to dream about counter strike to...
to avoide bad dreams,don't eat to much at night
