I thought it would be amusing to find out if there are other people like me ;D
When it comes to study, or assignments I live up to my nation's motto ... "Why do today what you can put off till tomorrow?"
It's 6:15am here now and I have been up the whole night finishing off a major assignment for a CISCO CCNA1 course (Cisco Certified Network Associate 1)which is due in today
Sometimes it seems like I cant get motivated until the last minute, and then I run myself into the ground
What about everyone else? Am I the only unmotivated one?

Lol, when I have to write a paper I almost always put it off until the last minute. Truthfully, papers that I have spent considerable time with have not received better grades than ones I have cranked out at the breaking point... so I'm not very motivated to do much other than research for a major assignment in advance. The actual paper is written the night before, almost always.
So I guess that makes me a procrastinator, lol. My justification is that I do better work under pressure. ;D
Sometimes I sorta forget I have homework and then remember the next day right before class... but it gets finished! (Nope, I don't mean cheating!)
I usually try to get a planner but I only end up using them for a week or two and then decide it's not worth the hassle.
Although this year might be different...
However, I am working on time management. The thing that gets me, personally, is all the reading. I'm usually fine with everything else. But when it comes to reading textbooks... I'd rather be off reading another book or checking into the 10ki forums... or something!

I think the thing that got me most about this assignment was all the writing.
We couldn't do typed notes, it had to be hand-written. My hand was so cramped after hand-writing about 30 or 40 pages
If it was a typed thing, it probably would have been easier for me to write, and I also would have been able to have NS running in the background and just check in every now and then

I am a huge procrastinator! ;D. I do a paper I was supposed to have done 3 weeks ago(like we had 3 weeks to write it) the night before it's due. I'm like that with everything. Projects, papers, essays, reports, ect. I do it with everything. Except when it is something I might actually like doing. Like if I get to make a science project on something cool I'll do it.

I'm a huge procrastinator when it comes to essays and projects. I remember having to write like a 2 or 3 page paper (OK, so that's not that long, but hey, it was only 6th or 7th grade) on Jonathan Livingston Seagull (ugh), and it was about 9 at night and I didn't even have the faintest idea what I was going to write about. I seem to recall I basically made up a bunch of crap and pretended like I knew what I was talking about. As I also, seem to recall, it worked.

Hey, you are looking at the Queen (or at least distant cousin) of procrastination... especially art related projects. Once in like 6th grade, we had to sculpt an animal out of a soap bar. Now, not only is this a stupid project, do you know how difficult it is to sculpt soap? I mean, a blob, easy, but a Chinese moon bear? Yeah, and guess who *forgot* to do it until the morning before class? You are not alone, Crackenback, you are not alone. I'm still mad about that stupid 6th grade project.... grrrrr

Procrastination...I can say it is somewhere in my name...I can have a whole month to do a huge project or paper and for some reason I just wont pick up a pencil until like 2 days from the due date. I hoping to change that a bit for next year but I know I will have the little conversation with the little angel dude and little devil dudes on my shoulders...d**n little devil is sooo persuasive

You see, I do have a conversation with the angel and the devil, but my angel some times isn't there(have you seen the Family Guy episode where the 2 devils appear and the angel is stuck in trafic?).

Whoa, I just noticed the guy on the toilet who falls in!
At least I think it's a toilet.
I'm talking about 3rd's signature people thingies...
BTW, I procrastinated so much last night. I got two questions done on this worksheet. I was talking to a friend on the phone and then checked into NS. ;D

If I have a bunch of stuff to do, and one is remarkably worse than the others, then I can't force myself to do that one first. I have to work my way up to it, so I'd have at least part of the stuff done, even if I never get to the yucky one. If I forced myself to do the yucky one first, then I'd sit around watching tv or playing on the comp., and in the end, I'd have accomplished nothing at all.
In grad school, I was in a really fast-paced program, and virtually everything was done in groups. And it is so much harder to procrastinate when you have other people (and their grades) relying on you. Though I do still procrastinate, I'm now much more responsible and better at time management. Shame it took until the end of my schooling to figure that one out.

I found it funny that this thread came about today because for my civics class I have to write a TEN PAGE Essay on John Kerry. It's due on Tuesday. I put it off for several weeks and now I'm going to have to work my Butt off to do it.
