In 1950 the Chinese invaded the peaceful country of tibet and since then political, human and civil rights have been disregarded. 1.2 milllion Tibetans have died (1/6 of the population) since then as a result of starvation, torture and murder. over 6,000 of the country's religious sites have been destroyed.
Depends. Does Tibet want to be free? Economically, Tibet would probably be better off Chinese, but who the hell wants to be a territory of those maniacs? And the thing is, China would never go for it. As far as China's concerned, there is and never was a nation of Tibet-just a province that was uppity enough to call itself a nation. Same thing with Taiwan. There's no freeing Tibet except by force.

I love free stuff! Just this afternoon I got a free lunch (no really. I did).
er, wrong topic.
Ok, removing China? If diplomatic pressure convinces them to leave, wonderful... but I think China is way too big to be starting a war with... it just might start WWIII. Perhaps there would be instances where going to war with China would be necessary, but this comes nowhere close... for example, suppose China started sinking US ships, or suddenly bombed a naval base of ours without warning... (little bit of historical reference there)
We could win a war with China. We're the only country that could, and for us. it'd be long, hard, nasty, and there would probably be nukes fired, but in the end, we'd win. Tibet just isn't worth what we'd have to go through, though.
