Another political issue in the news: The Supreme Court is hearing arguments about the Guantanamo Bay detentions. People arguing against them say it violates due proccess, people arguing for them say it is just a part of war. What are your thoughts?

The right to due process is one of the best and most important aspects of American government. Terrorism is a serious crime, but without enough evidence for a trial, the whole system becomes meaningless.
Would you be nice to a person you thought was a hypocrite?
I understand that the Guantanamo Bay "detainees" are really considered "illegal combatants" under the Geneva Convention. Because most of them were involved in acts of war but were not in uniform, they gave up their rights under the Geneva convention, and aren't even considered to have POW status.
Terrorist don't fit hardly any of the categories civilized people have... if they are American citizens, they have rights, even if they've committed treason. Otherwise, I'm not sure ...
