I have a concern that the current US primary system is an extremely inaccurate depiction of who the voters want to be their presidential candidate. As it is now, the primaries stretch for a number of months and the states that vote first seem to lead the way for the other states... The bandwagon effect.... New Hampshire and Iowa are 2 of the first states to vote. As it is now, once Iowa and NH report their results, the voters in the other states seem to vote with them, and so on and so forth.... Basically it seems like the primaries are decided by about 17% of the registered voters in the US... People see who won the early states and just vote with them, because they feel like their vote doesn't matter anymore.
Front Loading is when the primary calender is pushed up, so the primary voting period is greatly decreased. This way, voters feel more free to vote for who they think should be the candidate, not for who some other states think should be the candidate.
I hope I explained that well... It makes sense to me at least
