Indeed. I sent you the PM but i think our first agenda is to make the transition to the new boards quick and easy. I also think we need to advertise the fact that you're now doing FTs and are Assistant Regional Reserve Chairman, but i'll ask Grub to do that.
I'd like to get the stock market up and running quickly too.
Former Regional Reserve Chairman,
Other Roles:, Former Delegate, Knight of TITO, Official 'Spam King' 2005, 2006, The 'Master of Vocabulary' 2007, Around the Islands editor.
First corporate listing has been posted. I'm working on a formula for the business stocks right now, though I might just have to make up some starting stock prices.
Just wanted your opinion on some of the business stock stuff. Naturally, I'm only going to set up stock for active businesses (or at least semi-active businesses at lower values), so here's what I'm planning on setting up:
10KI Gambling Corporation 10KI Investment Corporation TBL - Basketball League XKI Press Corps XKI Arts Services Ltd (He did just take on a new job) XKI Lottery XKI Olympics Ltd
I'm not sure about XKI Paintball, though. Seems to desire to have an active business, but doesn't even have a corporate account yet, meaning he doesn't have a business license. Should I hold off on setting this one up?
Also, I'm not setting up stock for the political parties or Taco Island Charities. Just doesn't make much sense to sell stock for a not-for-profit entity. But I have an idea for allowing these places to sell bonds down the road. Actually, I'll get that idea out now for your opinion.
Right now, stock money just goes into the RR abyss while values change instead of going to the business that sells the stock. Probably not the way it should be, but baby steps, you know. These non-profits, though, coould actually use that money through a bond program. Say, the UPP decides to sell 1000 bonds at 15 tacos each with a 5% quarterly interest. I buy 20 bonds for 300 tacos. At the next Mortimer Report, the UPP has to buy back my bonds for 315 tacos. After that, the party could re-sell the bonds (either back to me or to anyone else) with the same terms or maybe different interest terms. A bond plan would give Taco Island Charities more room to wiggle (with the interest perhaps being subsidized by the government), and it could help the parties raise advertising money going into campaign season. The RR could manage the bonds just like stock. It's the same idea that the Island Bank had, but it's solely for industries, and it's regulated by us so that there's more security. What do you think?
And what do you think of the company list for stocks?
I noticed you updated the transfers for 10KI Investments. I thought he was PMing you these requests. Does anyone PM requests to you, or is anything on the boards fair game to process FTs?
Just trying to make sure we don't get behind on things.

I usually get atleast 1 FT request via PM every day. I think the investment corp is the only company where the FT requests are laid out in a public thread like that. For that case, it is fair game, which ever one of us gets there first, all you have to do is stamp it with this:
or an UPDATED thing after any FT you process, so i don't do it too.

I just finished reading the description of tasks as you laid them out for Mandali.
Fund Transfers will occur much less frequently.
The rich list shouldn't be too difficult. Any tips on that would be helpful. I assume that you first check all the currently entered nations, and then check all nations that are fairly active to see if someone has moved up. If there are other tips to doing that correctly it would help.
I am not exactly sure how business licenses will be handled in the future. For obvious reasons, I will not be able to present anything to the Co9 unless specifically cleared to do so. Which seems unlikely to occur for security reasons.
I have read all of the information on the economy, and I will have no problem answering questions.
The watchdog against free ad things will mainly be vigilence, and I think I can do that capably.
The Corporate Listing should be fairly easy to keep up on.
I think we may need to make sweeping changes to the corporate stock market. It seems that business right now is very slack. We may even think of an ad campaign to get people spending their tacos. People are currently in a hoarding mentality, and we must get them into a spending mentality if we want the economy to be interesting.
Additionally, I will take responsibility for keeping the data log, and stock prices current for the Daily Users stock if created. I have another idea for a stock to be updated daily, and I think they can collectively be called the fast market, and will offer much in the way of profit potential.
We may consider a governmental loan organization which also sells bonds. Since the government prints it's own money, it can charge a very low amount of interest on loans. Such as 1 percent. On a 10,000 taco loan, the government would not be making 100 tacos, but 10,100 tacos. Since those 10,000 tacos are all new. Since that is so, the government loans could be a great source of taco creation, and may even develop into a very large repository of tacos. An idea.
Those are my duties as I see them now, as well as addition duties as I see myself likely to create.
