Geography
The vast majority of Harmonious Treefolk is covered in ancient forest. Most of this area is completely unknown to any but the Treefolk, as access is restricted for outsiders to certain areas close to the city of Harpis.
There are four main regions known to the outside world.
1: Harpis
The city of Harpis is a large, bustling city of diverse culture and buzzing night life. A tourist might mistake it for any other popular city, except for the complete lack of automobiles. An efficient monorail system connects the different parts of Harpis together.
The center of Harmonious Treefolk's economy is Harpis. Tourism is a major draw to the city, with guided tours into the nearby forest bringing in untold millions of dollars a year. The beaches of Harpis are beautiful as well, and the Sandy Boulevard along the beaches is known to have the best Hotels, fanciest restaurants, and the hippest nightclubs.
All trade with Harmonious Treefolk comes through Harpis' air and sea ports. All visitors, except for very important military or state visitors, also come through Harpis; and with rare exception, they will not go any further into the nation than the extent of the guided tours.
2: Green Woods
The capitol city of Harmonious Treefolk is secluded deep inside the ancient forests far from Harpis and the outside world. It is much smaller than Harpis, and it would not even appear as a city in the conventional sense of the word. The capitol blends in so well with the forest it is practically undetectable.
The capitol city is home to the government and the Holy Elesyggarchy, which are inextricably connected. The residents maintain contact with the outside world by advanced communication technology, a private airport, and the handful of very rare roads that run through the forest.
3: Deep Woods
Little is know about Deep Woods. As with most sections of the great forest there are scatterings of Treefolk living throughout. It is a truly awesomely large area of land.
Somewhere in Deep Woods is the main military base for Harmonious Treefolk. Little is know about the base or its practices, but it is considered likely that the famed Harmonious Treefolk light infantry and scouts are trained in the depths of the woods.
Rumors of giant timberwolves, angry bears, and worse abound.
4: Milltown
The farming and logging of all of Harmonious Treefolk occurs in the small town of Milltown in the ancient forests. The logging is done in small quantities and new growth is always planted.
