The people of Foukien, an overseas territory of the Chinese Republic of Xiang Gang are waking up to some strange news.

A fisherman decided to go to 'the dark side of the island' on a whim: the fish on the side facing the distant Xiang Gang metropole were not biting. Upon returning, shocked, his claims that there 'be civilisation over there' were dismissed as 'those of a foul-smelling drunkard'.

The Gendarmerie of the French-speaking island of Chinese sent out a boat, the crew of which confirmed the fact that there were thousands of islands: ten-thousand, in fact, and that the salad dressing the residents produced was rather good.

Tacos, whilst not a favourite of the people of the territory, are proving to be extremely popular in the capital of the republic, Yongjing, where stands and 'Taco Domes' are springing up everywhere.

After this whirlwind news today a helicopter carring a dark thin man who identfied himself as 'Ian Gaunt' from the 'Federal Commonwealth of Elgarve' arrived in Yongjing. He said he represented the 'Commonwealth's Foreign Affairs Office' and extended a hand of friendship to the Foukieniese people and offered to export 1,000,000 tacos, free of charge, to the capital city as a gift.

The offer has been welcomed by both government and people of Foukien and the entire Chinese Republic of Xiang Gang.

The High Commissioner of the Republic in the overseas territory of Foukien has expressed an interest in exporting what he calls 'Chinese food'.
