10/4/06 ----------
Praise be; Finally, 'Muse To The Fascist' is done.
Of course you wont have a clue what to make of what i've just written. Naturally. The very first song i ever wrote, back in the murky depths of time, circa April '04. And was the time spent creating this opus used wisely? I'd like to think so.
After all, on these first warm days of the year, what better way to welcome the new weather system, than by hurling a figurative fist towards the outdoors, and locking ones self in the perpetual gloom of the basement? Where, it should be said, the lesser used brain lobe co-ordinating logic runs rampant, manifesting it's keenly blunt faculties in the storage of, say, 50% of the valuable items in my possession. The thing to grasp here, being that only 20kg of very liftable iron railing intervenes between this treasure trove of guitar set-up and apple Macintosh computers, and any passer by who decides to try their hand at a bit of thievery.
Still, nothing has been taken yet, and so i chose to trust the intuition of said lesser used brain lobe and the inane belief that things will remain just 'peachy' for ever more. Besides, the song is good. Big drums, big guitars, very Marillion meets late-eighties Floyd meets...some other band. Infact, to compliment the ego stoking already employed by means of the rabid and ubiquitous guitar soloing, I feel i should post it up on Myspace. Ah well, perhaps another time. It's time for 'University Challenge' now; 30 whole minutes of Jeremy Paxman sneering deridingly at the stupid, stupid students when it transpires that they dont infact know what the 5th symphony written by Allegri Misieri was. Pathetic...
So, all the best. When i feel moved to write some more, you will know. take care so, Slainté.
