Regional Best Flag Contest 2009

Dear residents, I'm happy to announce the 3rd annual Best Flag Contest. This year, we are conducting the contest together with our ally, Yggdrasil. If you think your nation's flag looks good/pretty/cool/awesome, do put it up for participation. The winner will get a taco prize of :-X10,000 and the title "Best Flag of 10000 Islands"!

Grub has agreed to sponsor the contest. The contest will run at the same time in 10000 Islands and Yggdrasil.

Here are some simple rules:
1) You can put up a maximum of 1 flag per nation.
2) You must be a 10000 Islands citizen or an emissary/ambassador to 10000 islands. A residency requirement of 1 week is required.
3) You must be registered on the forum.
4) Flags may be new but must be currently in use.
5) No offensive images.
6) Picture-flags are acceptable.
7) You must signal your intention to enter by posting below this thread.

You may freely discuss the entries here. Entries from 10000 Islands will go into the '10KI group' and the winner will be picked by popular vote from both regions. The 10th of June is the last day of entry. A poll for voting will be started on that same day.

Chronopolice's national animal is the Cheshire cat, and its currency is the Schrodinger.

Salinthal's national animal is the blue bird, and its currency is the Clean Note.

Ishkabibber's national animal is the lasa ahpso, and its currency is the dolero.

Gwizeldrop's national animal is the mosquito, and its currency is the zeldro.

The Snake Brotherhood's national animal is the serpent, and its currency is the ankh.

De Coelesti Hierarchia's national animal is the dove, and its currency is the summa.

Grungerock's national animal is the Eyeoftha Tiger and its currency is the Qhord.

Valyrian Steel's national animal is the direwolf, and its currency is the valyrian.

Since there were 2 people poking me about entering I might as well enter.. Though I don't get why this paintmade thing would have any chance of winnig...

It's a stylized firework, representing imagination, flanked by two phrygian caps on top of pikes, like the one in the Coat of arms of Argentina, with the same symbolism as there.

Essentially, it's a reverse-color of the U. S. flag with a crossed sword and machine gun in the field.
