National History
In December 1918, Germany lay as a defeated nation; forced to submit to the democratic fascists of the West. But the attempts of the Beurgeoisie to divide the working classes of the world were failing. In the Russian Empire, the Civil War raged with the Red Guards bravely holding on to the revolution. The revolution in Germany was about to explode. On New Year's day 1919, the Spartacist Revolution had begun. The rising was brutally resisted by the newly formed Freikorps, compromised of many reactionaries and ex-officers in the German Army. With direction from the treachorous Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands and their leaders Freidrich Ebert and Gustav Noske. However, the heroes of the rising of the working class Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht made it out of the capital to fight another day. (OOC: This is the point of divergance. A little luck goes a long way in SPverse) Distracted by the Spartacists, the Bavarian Soviet Republic was declared and held onto power in their corner of Germany. The brutality of the Freikorps in searching Berlin for the revolutionaries alienated many of the capital's people.
