I made an nation there when all the other NS'ers first migrated to Cybernations, but it seemed like everyone were bent on reigniting the NPO vs. everyone else hostilities, which I at that point was rather sick of, so decide to pass on that particular game.

I do both, but I like it here better. A majority of people there take it too seriously. Basically, they want you on all the time.

Eh I had a cybernation for a bit but I kinda got bored after it became apparent that the game fell much into the same category as every other free online game out there: collect resources, build up, conflict, rinse and repeat.
I like NS because it's specifically NOT like that.
Too seriously? The motto of the alliance I'm part of there is that the game is supposed to be fun, not another source of stress. Nonetheless we have one of the best economies there. In response to ND: What I like about CN compared to other games is that while in most browser games it's everyone against everyone else or similar, in CN the general community is so that it's basically forbidden to attack other alliances except in wars between whole alliances, which are rare.

Digù nolíshi! ("Have imagination!" in Nolíshi, the nation of Nolíshiwan's language) Nolíshiwan is derived from Nolíshi, not nolíshi. Èlgowan speaks Nolíshi too.

I was part of 'The Democratic Order' which had a similar policy but also went further as to specifically remain neutral in all conflicts, with the military power to remain so (i.e defend member nations and extract reparations from attacking nations). It was good at first but then the nature of the game as per my complaint above lead me to go CTE.

Isn't OSA the greatest? (We're in the same alliance.)
I particularly enjoy that while Cybernations can be really complicated, NationStates is very easy. You just select events. But then again, I like how everybody bonds together in Cybernations (At least in OSA), but I haven't seen this happen here.

Whaaat?
How could you get sick of fighting our Evil NPO not-overlords-anymore?
I fought in wars, kid! *shows Ananke Karma War medals*
And pay no attention to these *hastily hides medals from the War of the First Coalition marked with 'Pax Pacifica'*
