World Assembly Postal Admin A resolution to promote funding and the development of education and the arts.
Category: Education and Creativity Area of Effect: Educational Proposed by: Grays Harbor
Description: The World Assembly Postal Administration (WAPA)
UNDERSTANDING the need for an independent Postal Authority to serve the needs of the World Assembly;
RECOGNISING that postage stamps are an excellent method of expressing an organizations goals, aspirations and principles;
URGES All member nations to recognize and accept all mail originating from the WA Headquarters and WAPA.
CREATES the World Assembly Postal Administration (WAPA) and mandates it to: 1) Manage the movement of mail to and from the World Assembly Headquarters by coordinating delivery service with the existing postal authorities of member nations; 2) Hire staff sufficient to ensure proper operation of the WAPA; 3) Issue postage stamps as necessary and required for use on mail emanating from the WA to indicate proper prepayment of postal fees; 4) Set a standard postal rate for all mail emanating from the World Assembly Headquarters; 5) Contribute all of it's operating profits towards funding World Assembly expenditures.
AGAINST. Please... if someone wants to draw an organigram for the World Assembly, fine. But we are not going to make a resolution for every department.
Liberty and Justice are meaningless if they don't serve to protect each other. Governments are meaningless if they find themselves in a situation to favor one over the other.

Against! Against! Against! Grays Harbor loves to pontificate how just about everybody's resolutions are useless, unworthy of international consideration, blahblahblah... He's like a broken record gone wild. And the music is boring.
And THEN, when The Great Pontificator Grays Harbor does something... he makes us suffer this horrid piece of tripe. Seriously, stamps!?!!?
What's next, the World Assembly manufacturing commemorative beer cans? What would the difference be?

What's next, a resolution to mint World Assembly Commemorative Coins? A resolution to create the World Assembly Haberdashery, because currently there each delegate has to buy clothes in their native country?

(Btw: I remember sending you a recruitment TG back when you were first created. In some way I'm glad you chose the 10K Islands (over my region) since I see you've settled here nicely and are very active in the game! That's the most important thing )
Oh, and I agree with Sionis' sentiments...

I almost joined your region based solely on it was the only one of the dozen telegrams I got with a personal touch. Thank you again for the invite.
