NationStates Embassy Requests

To all regions that have requested embassies through NationStates or will in the future, please know that we mainly only accept embassies that already have formal embassies on the 10000 Islands forum. If you have requested an embassy through NationStates and it was rejected, please know that we do not mean any disrespect, but do request you to follow a few steps before we formally establish embassies.
1) We only accept embassy requests which meet the following requirements:
Council of Nine Resolution: NS155-1 - Rules for Requesting Embassies
The following rules are the minimum rules required for the 10000 Islands to accept a new embassy:
- The region in question must have been in existence for 6 months.
- The Region must also demonstrate a viable community of active members.
Upon reaching these minimum requirements a post should be made in the embassy request thread.
After the application has been reviewed by the Delegate of the 10000 Islands it will be presented to the Council of Nine for vote. The requesting region will be informed of the Council's decision by the Delegate of the 10000 Islands.
Periodically the region will be checked by the 10000 Islands Emissary to see if it continues to function as a viable community. If the requirement is no longer met it will be reported to the current serving Delegate. The Council may elect to close the Embassy for this reason.
The Council reserves the right to waive these rules for individual regions that they believe warrant special consideration.

2) Please have a representative sign up through the 10000 Islands forum (using the name of their nation) and then send Markanite a telegram though NS to confirm your name.
3) Then, follow the instructions and post in this thread (click HERE) to apply for an embassy: 10000islands.proboards.com/thread/12390/request-embassy-thread
4) After that, the Council will consider your request. Be aware this may take some time depending on the other business of the Council. When the Council decides, you will be informed as much.
5) If your application is formally approved, please send or accept an embassy request through NationStates.
Please know that our embassies mean a lot to us here in the 10000 Islands. When we do enter into formal relations with other regions, we hope our mutual ties will have a long lasting impact in NationStates, for the betterment of both of our regions.
