That's right everyone, it's time for WW33: Ghostbusters!
"Alright recruits, listen up! We’ve had a call from Old Man Jenkins who lives in that old creepy house between the dark forest and the spooky graveyard. He says he thinks his house might be haunted. I’ve had a look at his statement and it doesn’t seem like much, which is why we’re sending all you new recruits off on your first mission!
Now, we’ve only had confirmed reports of bumps in the night, flickering lights, creaks in the attic, doors opening and closing by themselves, taps turning on, ghostly figures in photos, movements in the corner of the eye, items disappearing and reappearing months later, messages written on the walls, strange draughts, strange animal behaviour, strange dreams, strange noises and strange reflections in the mirror. It does sound a bit strange, but how bad can it be?
Now, as Old Man Jenkins refuses to pay us up front, we can only afford to equip you with one Proton Pack, one P.K.E. Meter and one battery pack each. This means you’ll only be able to use one item before you’re battery runs flat, but that shouldn’t be a problem as if you want to keep your job you will work together as a team! I’m also sending a bunch of Ghost Traps along with you so you can catch any ghosts you do find. Not that you will, of course…"
Rules
During each day phase, players vote to lynch other players with the intention of eliminating members of the other team. During the night phases, players may use special abilities specific to their role.
In this game, there are two roles, the Ghostbusters (Villagers) and the Ghosts (Werewolves).
Ghostbusters
Power: Each Ghostbuster may elect to either scan OR defend any player (including themselves) on a SINGLE night.
If a Ghostbuster is killed for any reason without using a power, they may elect to pass on their power to another player. If the player they pass the power onto is a Ghostbuster, that Ghostbuster may scan or defend an extra player. (Note:only one action may be completed each night phase). If the power is passed onto a Ghost, the power is destroyed.
The Ghostbusters win when all of the Ghosts are destroyed.
Ghosts
Power: The ghosts may choose as a team one player to eliminate each night. Additionally, the Ghost team can additionally spy on one other player to see what actions, if any, they used during that night phase. Ghosts can only spy on other players on nights they also target a player to be killed.
The Ghosts win when the number of their surviving players is equal to, or greater than, the number of surviving Ghostbusters.
Important
If the Ghosts choose not to kill someone during a night phase, two things will occur:
- Any Ghostbuster who scanned another player will receive a result of Ghostbuster, regardless of actual role. This will use up their power.
- Any Ghostbuster who defended any player will be allowed to reuse their power on another night. They will be informed by pm that they have access to another power.
