A 24 year old male is was taken into custody by the Candistan City Police Department early Monday morning after he underestimated the power of the force. The man allegedly held up a local 7-11 while wearing a black mask and breathing heavily. He spoke with a thick accent and made threatening gestures at the clerk while claiming to have the power to destroy the store if he so desired. When the clerk informed him that he had to pay for his cigarettes he replied, "Laws do not concern me, Clerk. I want those smokes, not excuses." He then brandished a rod and began to assault the clerk. When he heard the sound of sirens he reportedly said, "Bring my shuttle," and proceeded to leave the premises.
When asked what he thought of the alleged robber, the clerk stated, "“If there's a bright centre to the universe, he belongs on the planet that it's farthest from.”
A police spokesperson stated that a taser was deployed after the suspect refused to drop a replica weapon. Police then detained the suspect without any further incident.
The suspect is facing charges of theft under M5000, uttering threats, assault causing bodily harm, and resisting arrest. His name has not yet been released.
