Beko Basketball Bundesliga Playoffs 2016
Yes, the time has come and post-season has arrived. During the regular season we saw 18 teams competing against each other. The top eight teams of those have now qualified for the Playoffs. Playoffs will be held in three rounds (Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, Finals). The winner of the finals will be German Basketball Champion 2016.
Each round pits two teams each against each other in a best-of-five series. The teams will play three to five games. The first team to win three games moves to the next round (or wins the competition in case of the finals). That means the possible outcomes of a series are 3:2, 3:1, 3:0, 0:3, 1:3 or 2:3.
The games are very frequent, so we will not bet on every single game. Instead, we will bet on the exact outcome of a series. So, e.g. for the Quarter Finals between Oldenburg and Ulm you can bet on 3:2, 3:1, 3:0, 0:3 .... you catch the drift, right?
To make it even more insanely interesting, the stakes will increase with each round:
Quarter Finals: 1,000
per series
Semi Finals: 5,000 per series
Finals: 20,000 per series
This is an all or nothing game! You will only win something, if you have bet on the correct outcome of the series (e.g. 3:2). If no one bets correctly on a series, the money will go into the jackpot. You can only win the jackpot when you bet correctly on all games of a given round (all 4 Quarter Finals, all 2 Semi Finals or the Finals). Clear? I hope so. If there's money left in the jackpot after the finals, we here at Lou Chance Gambling Enterprise will invest it and use it to stack up the jackpots for the next season.
