Welcome to a game not for the faint of heart: Quantum Werewolves.
On the surface, it's simple. There will be some werewolves, some villagers, and at least 1 seer (when the game begins I will tell you exactly how many of each, but it will depend on the number of sign ups). If the werewolves are the only ones still standing, they win. If the village finds and kills all the werewolves, the village (and seers) win. No special roles, no surprise twists (at least none, I'm planning, but you never know what surprise the other players will try).
Here's the challenge: no one knows who the werewolves are. Not even the werewolves.
Each night phase, EVERY player will either try to scan someone or target someone to kill them. Who dies will be chosen as a weighted random chance.
An example: Let's say there are 4 players, A, B, C and D. There is 1 werewolf and 1 seer.
On night 1, A and B send me a private message that they would attack C if they were werewolves. C attacks D and D attacks A. That's a 50% chance that the werewolf attacked C and a 25% each that D or A was attacked. I'll use a random number generator to decide who dies, with a 50% of C, a 25% chance of D, a 25% of A and a 0% chance of B. Let's say C dies. C is obviously not the werewolf since either A or B must be the werewolf, so there is a 1/3 chance he's the seer. I'd determine this randomly as well, and announce his death at dawn. D would be notified that he is definitely not the werewolf, because he did not vote for the target.
They must vote to lynch someone during the day. D accuses B and A agrees and votes for B as well. (Note that A doesn't know that B voted for the same target the previous night.) There is a 50% chance that B is a werewolf and the village will win, but if he is not the werewolf, A will be notified that he is the werewolf and I will only focus on his target that evening (except obviously the game is over because once he kills D that evening, he'll win).
This becomes a MUCH more complicated calculation when you have more than 4 players, BUT I will be keeping track of all of that behind the scenes. Just try to stay alive. Create alliances, fight dirty and trust no one. Not even yourself.
