Fellow Islanders,
Today, I am humbled to be able to do this.
You cannot turn on the TV, view the news or talk to another person without discussing or recognising the enormous effects Coronavirus (COVID-19) is having on our day-to-day lives. Everyday, millions of people are putting thier lives on the line to support heathcare services worldwide. Additionally, millions more are going out of their way to help loved ones, strangers, neighbours and many others as a key worker on the front line against this virus.
Our region is no different, each member of our community is playing their part in fighting the virus. We are all in this together and 10000 Islands has come together as a community to help each other through this.
From the start of this, Tuga Nation's Dragon has been sharing their story. A story of a frontline fight against the virus. Tuga Nation's Dragon is an ER nurse in Portugal, a place that has been badly affected by this virus.
Even though he seldom gets time to rest, he has frequently been posting advice and updates on the forum, to help keep islanders safe. That's right, even when he is saving people lives in real life, he is trying to save lives here too.
Tuga Nation's Dragon's selflessness knows no bounds, he has even moved out of his family home to shield them from the virus and to ensure that he can continue to be there, on the front line, saving lives.
There is a medal, that is awarded very rarely and after thinking about Tuga Nation's Dragon and his actions, I've amended it's description and am proud to bestow it on him today.
12) Purple Heart
Awarded to nations that have been deleted in the defense of another region or demonstrating unwavering strength in the face of adversity.
Tuga Nation's Dragon, thank you for your service to the region and to your community and family in the wider world. I confer upon you the Purple Heart, for demonstrating unwavering strength in the face of adversity.
Three cheers for Tuga Nation's Dragon! Keep up the good work and stay safe.
