the Taco Island Studio, before the next scene. The director is reading the most recently submitted script rendition.
Director: This is what we're going for?
Executive Producer: This is what the lead decided on.
Director: They do know how this usually ends up in a Drama, right?
Executive Producer: Well I didn't exactly explain it to them, since it can go any which way, right?
Director: This is Hallmark, there's only one way it'll go.
Executive Producer: Yes, well, this was what they decided on. They said it seemed like their "thing."
Director: (looking at the script again) Yeah, if this were a buddy cop movie I could see that, but...
The director sighs and puts down the script.
Director: Well alright then, let's get this show going.
The cameras start rolling.
Palisades Park, evening. A figure obscured by the dark sky is sitting on the bench nearby, as a stern looking middle-aged detective walks toward the bench and sits down.
Echo Isles: Well, I didn't expect to see you here.
Detective Ronson: I wish it was under better circumstances.
Echo Isles: So what can I do for you today detective?
Detective Ronson: I think you know. Las Vegas, last summer. A young girl died, and you were the first to find her.
Echo Isles: Yes, I remember. I was there on a business retreat, and I found her halfway in the pool, drowned. Poor girl...
Detective Ronson: Right, and at the time you were let off the hook since there was no evidence that made you a suspect.
Echo Isles: I'm going to assume that you're here because something changed.
Detective Ronson pulls out a file with Echo's name on it.
Detective Ronson: Do you know what's in here?
Echo Isles: I really don't unfortunately.
Detective Ronson studies Louis for a second, and then gives a genuine short smile.
Detective Ronson: It's evidence that you not only pulled the girl out of the pool, but also tried to save her by performing CPR. Something you failed to mention to us at first.
Detective Ronson pulls out the files. Surveillance pictures.
Detective Ronson: Cameras saw you going in for the first time shortly after the girl was killed. Before that, you were exactly where you said you were for your alibi. You never left the building once, and this girl had no connection to you whatsoever. According to all of our background searching and witness reports, the first time you ever saw this girl was when you saw her that night in the pool. Yet despite not knowing this girl, you tried to save her. Why didn't you tell any of this at first?
Echo Isles: Well for one, I was afraid that it would have made me look even more guilty of tampering with the body if I had said that. But I was also in shock because it made me think of my mother who died from an accidental drowning.
Detective Ronson: Ah yes...Amelia Isles. That was one of the harder cases we had to deal with. Your mother was a pillar of the community.
Echo Isles: Yes, she was a wonderful mother and person. I guess I dove so much into my work because I didn't want to deal with what had happened.
Detective Ronson: Well don't beat yourself up Echo, it's not your fault.
Echo Isles: I know, I just--
Detective Ronson: If anything, it's your father's fault. That's actually the real reason I came to see you tonight...I just figured I'd start off with some good news.
Echo Isles: Sorry...what?
Detective Ronson: Well, we found new evidence that your dad planned the murder of your mother.
Echo Isles: You're kidding...!
Detective Ronson: I wish I was. As we speak, there's officers arresting your father right now on new evidence that was discovered...evidence that points to him being the one that killed your mother for the life insurance.
Echo, not believing him, rushes out of the Park and towards Mayor Louis' home. Sure enough, there are police cars everywhere, as a couple of police officers are escorting him out. Echo has made it there in time to see this as he comes out of the car.
Echo Isles: Father!
Mayor Louis is fighting with the officers as he looks up at his sons Echo and Ammon.
Mayor Louis: What ever they tell you boys, it's not true! I loved your mother, and these claims are outrageous! You police will hear from my laywers!!
Mayor Louis is put in the police car as they drive off, leaving behind a bewildered Echo and Ammon. Later, Mayor Louis is put to trial for the murder of Amelia Isles. He's found guilty and sentenced to life in prison with no possibility for parole.

Former Mayor Louis' Mansion, same evening. Ammon is pacing inside, as Martin Grayson is sitting there.
Martin: Your father will be okay, you know. There's no way they'll find him guilty.
Ammon: Please be quiet, I just need to concentrate and think of something that I can do.
Martin: Stop worrying about it, he's going to be fine. And you have Echo in the meantime.
Ammon: Okay enough! Alright? You were hired by my father has his bodyguard, not to be my therapist. My father is gone, so why are you even still here?
Martin: Because I care about you and your brother just as I did for your father.
Ammon laughs.
Ammon: You care about us? You, who weren't even there when they started dragging father out the door on some outrageous charge. Where were you then?!
Martin: I was...
Ammon: I don't want to hear it. I want you out of this house and I don't ever want you to come back.
Martin hesitates for a moment.
Ammon: I said go!
Martin sighs as he leaves, stopping for a moment and looking back.
Ammon: Get out of here!
Martin leaves.

Alright folks, it's been a pretty bad Action Phase.
First off, Mayor Louis has been arrested and sent to prison, which means his actor, Louisistan, has been removed from the show. He was our Secondary Lead. This was due to the Lead accidentally picking the Bad Choice in their scenario.
On top of that, the Producers still had their way and ended up getting Martin Grayson, played by Marxist Germany, booted from the show. He was an ensemble member.
I know that was a rough Action Phase, but there's still some hope, right? So let's use this Screen Test to get out there and do some voting on who you think the Producers are!
We'll keep this Screen Test going until 4/27/2020, at 12:15AM PDT, or 48 hours from now.
