Hey everyone!
I hope to lay out my reasons for running in this thread, and also to answer the question barrage I know is coming.
Why I have decided to run:
As I'm sure many of you know, I am really active in XKI. When I first joined XKI, which was right after I founded my nation, I was amazed by how friendly, patient, and welcoming everyone was. Any and all questions I had were answered with compassion. Because of this, I decided I wanted to be as active as possible, so I could help others in much the same way that I was. I like to think I've done my best in that regard, by recruiting and welcoming new nations, updating the regional map, and helping to run cultural events. And of course, helping defenseless nations via TITO. I think that if I become the HW senator, I can help new nations even more, while increasing activity game side, on the forum, and on Discord by holding RP events.
The responsibility of the Himes West Senator is to oversee the regional role play.
Here are just a few of the ideas for RP I have:
- A contest where nations can make maps of their nation and the winner gets a taco prize (using a program like Inkarnate, or hand-drawn, etc.).
- A contest where nations describe their currency and how it works (what its denominations are, how it exchanges with other XKI/RL nations' currency, etc.)
-And a contest that will last my whole term. The objective is for nations to create the most fleshed out Leader they can. Any medium would be acceptable. Images, factbooks, RMB posts in ATA, forum posts in the RP subforum, etc. Some ideas you could possibly start with: The transcript of an address or speech to a group of people or the nation by the Leader. A diplomatic visit to another nation. (Templates would be permitted for the BBCode, but not for the content already in them)
My hopes for these events and the others I have planned is to increase the long-term RP in the region.
