Greetings House Members,

This will be the new account for the HTI Foundation, and will replace the now defunct 'Meritocracy Foundation' account.

In addition to HTI being an acronym for the new house, the 'Hti' in Burmese is the decorative finial architectural piece at the very top of pagodas and temples, and is considered the most important, 'crowning' piece of these structures. A fitting title for the foundation that will both enhance and enrich the lives of House members.

I have now requested of the Regional Reserve, a transfer of the currently frozen assets from the previous foundation to the HTI account. When that occurs, I will share the foundation's starting balance, then begin making purchases and investments on behalf of members. I will then post a starting ledger.

I had to register the new Foundation as a business (per regional law) and figured it was worthwhile to lay out some operating parameters. This is what I came up with. We can make adjustments if we need to but I think this covers the bases. Let me know your thoughts.

HTI Foundation

1. Providing a regular monthly dividend and ROI for members of the House of Tasmanian Islands.
2. Monthly dividends will be disbursed evenly among all current House members, regardless of any investment they may or may not make into the Foundation (although personal contribution from members is encouraged and any such personal donation will be invested on behalf of all House members).
3. New House members will not receive a share of monthly dividends until their third month of membership in the House.
4. Members departing the House will receive an equal portion of the monthly dividend for one final month after their leaving, but will have no claim to any of the holdings of the Foundation, nor to any monies they may have invested during their membership in the House.
5. In the event of the dissolution of the House or the HTI Foundation, any assets that can by liquefied, will be, and all current members of the House (having been in membership for at least 2 months) will receive an equal share of any liquid assets at the time of dissolution.

The initial investment of the Foundation into the region will be roughly 1.2 Million Tacos. The foundation will make periodic donations to Taco Island Charities at amounts approved by all members.

Further requests or comments: The above Foundation parameters are subject to change as determined by House members.

This looks about right for how we want it.

Our house members are gonna become fat from all the tacos, need to make reminder for myself to install a gym somewhere.

Just one question.
I joined the house of Reman shortly before its endings. I of course am now part of the House of The Tasmanian Islands, would I be eligible for the monthly dividends even though I have been in the two houses a little less than a month?

Kohnhead , As it's laid out in the new foundation, dividends will be received as of the third month for joining members. The previous Foundation didn't have this stipulation, so you're grandfathered in from the previous foundation. No probationary period.

Given that this has all taken a bit of time, and that I am only making the new investment purchases today, I'm not 100% sure we'll see payouts from the next (August) Mortimer report (which usually drops mid-month). I'm not sure if RR considers report-to-report as the period, or start-of-month to start-of-month as the period. We may need to have made our purchases before the previous month's report (which we didn't) so we all might see nothing in until September.

Initial HTI Foundation purchases have been made in the amount of 1.4M Tacos, with a 200K Taco contingency remaining banked and gathering interest. Foundation investments can always be viewed here

This should serve as a solid starting point, and produce some reasonable initial monthly dividends. They are high cost, high yielding items.

I will be diversifying our portfolio as time goes on, so we have a better chance of benefiting from monthly factors that influence Mortimer Reports (and can enhance monthly returns). As time goes on, you'll begin to see purchases of other shop items, stocks potentially, and entry into any long term investment opportunities that may be offered by the RR.

If anyone wishes to contribute to the foundation at any time, send funds directly to the HTI Foundation corporate account. Any amounts contributed will be invested before the end of each month.
