Supporters of animal testing claim that many life-saving therapies for both humans and animals have been created, that there is no alternative method for examining a full living organism, and that stringent regulations prohibit animal mistreatment in laboratories.
On the other hand, animal testing critics argue that experimentation on animals is unethical and inhumane, that alternative approaches available to researchers should replace animal testing, and that animals are so different from human beings that animal research frequently yields meaningless results.
I'm currently of the opinion that it's alright, but what do you all think?

Testing should only be permitted on politicians and lawyers.

Well that's not fair to the lawyers! They spend years learning law to help people not go to jail only so they can be tested on?
Edit: I know it was a joke

Every living creature dies eventually; perhaps it is better to experimented on in a lab, than to die from natural causes the wild. As an example: would you rather struggle to find basic needs and be vulnerable to predators, or to be experimented on while having basic needs and safety provided for you? Perhaps you might help those experimenting on you, saving millions of more lives? Perhaps you'll become famous across the world, representing a milestone in technological advances?
Alternatively, you could be tortured for what seems like an eternity for no reason at all: nothing is gained, but sadistic pleasure for your tormentors. Experimenting on animals isn't unambiguously bad, but it isn't unambiguously good either: one should look at the arguments from both sides, and judge whether experimentation on animals is acceptable or unacceptable on a case-by-case basis.
Same thing, This is the approach i take with everything in life which is aiming to minimize harm as much as possible, I think that if It's necessary then do it, if it's not don't. I do believe that it's morally wrong though. There's no ethical way of experimenting with an animal, even if you treat them well.I think it's mostly about figuring out if the pros outweigh the cons.
