Ninth Annual Paffnia Prize: The Winners

After a week of preliminary voting in two groups and a week of final voting, I am pleased to award the ninth annual Paffnia Prize to HumanSanity and Grea Kriopia for the XKI Summer Olympics! Along with other organizers of individual events, HS and Grea ran a fantastic series of events with a huge number of activities. It engaged Islanders of all stripes from all parts of the region, on Discord, the forum, and gameside, and was perfectly timed after the Drewpocalypse to keep Islanders involved.

For the fourth year, TIC is also proud to present two more awards:

The Baden-Wuerttemberg Ruby Prize for second place is awarded to Hakketomat! Hakke's popular TacoVision Contests, the third of which is ongoing, have allowed Islanders to showcase their music tastes and engaged the community in a new way.

The Baden-Wuerttemberg Opal Prize for third place is awarded to, well, me, Paffnia. Awkward, I know. Well, glad to see the Islands Space Program popular and thriving!

This year, the Paffnia Prize is a sum of 3,215,269 ! In addition, the Baden-Wuerttemberg Ruby Prize comes to 523,154 , and the Baden-Wuerttemberg Opal Prize comes to 261,577 , for a total of 4,000,000 altogether. The prize money and prize trading cards will be sent along in the next few days.

Congratulations again to all the winners and nominees, and thanks again to Baden-Wuerttemberg for the idea for second and third prizes.

Keep coming up with and implementing new ideas, Islanders, and you could win next year's Paffnia Prize! In the meantime, be on the lookout for more TIC activities in the coming months.

Thank you everyone who attended the Olympics, voted for it in the poll, and more importantly everyone who made contributions to the region this year so we continued growing and improving.

I've done a lot of work in NS this year, but winning this award encapsulates best the goals I've been trying to accomplish--innovating to make a better, more active, more vibrant region with a strong community and friendships. Thanks to everyone who has helped me refine my ideas, thanks to Grea Kriopia for helping actualize the event, and thanks to everyone for being a part of this community.
