Hello everyone,
I hope this message finds you all well, happy and safe!
Throughout the world, we are facing the Coronavirus pandemic and each of us are finding ways to overcome this. You'd struggle to find anyone who can says things are the roughly same as this time last year. Likewise 10000 Islands has changed in many ways, recently some very active nations have decided to move on to other regions. Grea Kriopia, Lenlyvit and Aschente are departing to get involved in the wider NationStates world or are chosing to leave NS entirely. Whilst this is extremely sad for us, it is also important to remember every person here is on a journey, we develop our interests, grow in knowledge and some decide to explore other parts of the NS world. All we can do is support their decisions and be thankful for the memories and time they spent in this amazing region. I'd like to reassure you that we are strong region with a resilient community that will continue to grow and thrive. I have said this many times, and I'll say it again. I am so proud to be involved in this community and I'll continue to do what I can to help it grow. Every person who is involved in this region has my heartfelt thanks for all they do. I'm excited to see what will come next for us and I know that our shared determination, strength and resolve will help see us through any potential challenges.
With some members departing, there are also new opportunities for a younger generation of Islanders to get involved!
Free Las Pinas has established themselves over in the MOE and has begun to implement some changes already.
I'm pleased to announce that Wille-Harlia will be taking over as Minister of Labor and is working closely with Free Las Pinas to help ensure a smooth transition.
Thedairos has decided to concentrate on the Cultural Office for the next few months and is stepping down as Minister of Immigration. He will be supporting the terrific Margaux who will be our new Minister.
Tanzoria has also already begun his tyrannical rule of Taco Island!
In the next few weeks we will have elections for the two senate seats Himes West and Lyonnesse East. Additionally, we will hold our election for Delegate at the same time. Once this is completed, I will also announce a new Registrar General and Chief of Staff, as Humansanity has been dismissed from this role following a private professional dispute.
I'm immensely excited to welcome in this new team and work with them for the betterment of 10000 Islands. There is a lot of change coming, but I know 10000 Islands will endure and rise to the challenge as we always have. I hope you'll join me in wishing the new team well!
