Yeah, I will say I miss the option to multi-quote since it saves a hell of a lot of pain to just through 50 in a post and spoiler them accordingly. But that at least sounds like a workaround that can be utilized.
I'm definitely on the belief that there's at least 1 or 2 experienced XKIer wolves in the mix. Like Wisch and ENE stated, Sauron and Aerso are two of XKI's really experienced players, so knocking them out early was the equivalent of knocking out someone like Hydra or Laurentus early in Wintreath.
I'm also definitely convinced that there's at least one or two Wintreath wolves there too that know what they're doing. Getting rid of Aerso isn't only something beneficial to any XKI scum, but it also muddies the waters and potentially throws some fingers Lau's way since he was the one that Aerso was suspecting.
It's for this that I'm quick to clear Laurentus as one of the Death Eaters outside of the possibility of being the Basilisk. He's smart enough as a Scum to know how bad it would make him look if Aerso were to die shortly after being accused, so I'd very much see him steering his scum buds away from picking him unless he intentionally wanted to cause chaos (which I wouldn't put it past him).
That being said, it also doesn't take away the possibility that Aerso visited him a Basilisk-Laurentus to see if his suspicions had any merit, and was unintentionally killed in the process since Basilisk kills are immediate, not by choice. Admittedly, I'm really surprised Aerso wasn't defended since I would have expected him to be a N1 defense easily...especially since he was acting incredibly Aerso-town in his posts from what I'm used to seeing when I'm playing WW with him or hosting a game with him in it.
Unfortunately, since we won't know by end of night results when a Basilisk kill happens, a lot of this is pure speculation. But at the very least, I don't see Laurentus as one of at least 5 of the Death Eater types.
That being said, as mentioned I do believe there's some experienced XKI and possibly Wintreath scum on that team, so I'm going to take a shot at ENE. You're someone that's experienced in both versions of Werewolf, so you're someone I could see pulling off some clever moves such as what I mentioned above. Specifically, I could easily see you killing off Aerso with the idea that it'd eventually find its way back to Laurentus once people started reading into his posts.
