Invoking Article 2 of the Constitution 05/2021

On the 17th February 2019, I was given one of the greatest honours in 10000 Islands and was asked by Woonsocket to serve as Chief Executive. I have loved serving in this role over the last two years but now I think it is time that I pass on the role to another.

2. The Chief Executive authority of 10000 Islands shall be vested in the Founder Nation, the United States of Grub. The Chief Executive shall hold Office for life, and shall be responsible for the conferral of the Chief Executive's authority to a successor of the Chief Executive's sole choosing.

So, as per Article 2 of the XKI Constitution, I am naming Hakketomat to be the next Chief Executive of the 10000 Islands. The transition will begin today with this announcement and I will work with to bring them up to speed on all the duties of the Chief Executive over the next few weeks. I will update everyone upon completion of the transition.

The first thing we will work on is administering the elections which begin tomorrow as normal.

I'd like to thank you all for your support, help and guidance whilst I navigated the challenges of the role. I hope that I have done you all proud. Being Chief Executive is not easy, and I know I've made some mistakes however I also hope I've done some good and helped the region. 10000 Islands has an extensive and amazing history, we have endured the test of time and will continue to thrive under the new Chief Executive.

I look forward to watching how the region evolves over the next few months and years. It has been an honour and a priveledge. Thank you all.

Thank you for everything you did, Markanite! You've navigated our region through some very difficult times, both domestically and foreignly. You had to make some very tough choices in your time and all things considered, I think you did a very fine job as Chief Executive. I know that with Hakketomat we will have a leader who is hard-working, diligent, responsible and who embodies the values of TITO and 10000 Islands. That's worth sacrificing some of our blood from time to time, right? :-)

Mark, I still remember getting a telegram from you back in 2013 when I just joined the Islands. You, Aerso, and Ananke were the first "faces" of NS that I got to know, through those recruitment and welcome messages you were so dedicated to sending. You've been a pleasure to work and chat with both in government and as an Islander when I was here, as well as when my pursuits took me abroad. 10ki has always had a very special place in my heart even when we don't necessarily follow the same path, but you've been an outstanding chief executive and it's been a pleasure to see the evolution of the region under your guidance. Thanks for everything you've done.

To Hakke, a fine selection indeed to lead the Islands into its next chapter. You've been an outstanding defender and a joy to work with in every capacity. I wish you all the best and I know you'll be a fantastic chief executive. Congratulations!

You've always been working tirelessly for the islands while I've been active Mark, so you and the islands are practically synonyms, so it will be different without you as CE. I know Hakke will fill the big shoes you are leaving behind.

Hakketomat applauds excitedly along with everyone else for Markanite's speech. It takes a few moments before Kortexia gives Hakke a few nudges and whispers to him "He meant you... you're being named as the next Chief Executive of 10000 Islands"
A bit dumbfounded, Hakke looks at Markanite, who is waiting patiently on the stage, then to the rest of the hall that has fallen completely silent. Hakke gets up and walks up to the stage and stands next to Markanite.
All of a sudden, Wischland appears and gives a speech that is mostly in Latin. The sound of an organ fills the hall. Soon after, Wisch turns to Hakke, the organ stops playing, and Wisch asks Hakke a bunch of questions about whether he renounces Satan and all his works and all his pomps. The organ resumes playing with a chilling crescendo and Hakke answers with "I do" to all questions.
Kanta Hame, who is also standing close by, whispers something to Hakke who immediately feels satisfied and at ease.

Markanite, it has been a tremendous honour to work with you! TITO Command and the rest of XKI has felt like a family with you at the helm. I am equally honoured to be taking over for you and I am excited to prove to you that you have not made a mistake in placing your trust in me!
