Flying Eagles for LE: Continuing What we Started

Hello islanders! I’m Flying Eagles. After 4 months of working to regenerate the house system, it’s time for 4 more months. Lyonnesse/Lyonesse East is the councillor responsible for running the house system, which is one of the many methods that XKI has in order to incentivize activity amongst its citizens. Serving another four month term on the Co9, I would do everything in my power to incentivize activity within the house system and beyond in the areas of responsibility listed below!
Running the House Cup, Shield, and Spectre Competitions in January
I think the September edition was successful, and with the new edition coming up in January, I think continuing the use of the houses channel in Discord would be called for to promote competitions. A house role could be created to provide a method of pinging people if there is a need determined by the Co9 to inform people of house business.
Overseeing the House Achievement Plan
Yeah, this I don’t think can get changed much cause the whole recruiter’s choice thing that is set at a thousand points is meant as a final title. You could increase it to 2000 or something but that creates complicated grandfathering or steals already earned titles away from houses, and extending the word count probably doesn’t work as 3 words is already enough. With the recent house consolidations however, houses should become more active and more able to manage the house points system, which should mean each house has more people to track points, increasing engagement.
Nominating New House Stewards as Needed
I intend to continue replacing inactive leaders with active recruiters where they exist.
Presenting New Legislation to the Council
I don’t see any legislation that is needed right now, but some experience helping out in the World Assembly forum on NationStates should translate into being able to help interested islanders draft and pass desired legislation in the Co9.
Participate in Matters Brought Before the Council
I attended every vote and helped coordinate the admin task of shutting down inactive houses, and will be able to continue this through my term.

I am aware of the responsibilities of Senior Senator, and am prepared to conduct and/or delegate them in the event I were to become Senior Senator during my term. I have no positions of responsibility within other regions to declare
