What is your favorite winter sport?

You turn on the television. As usual, there’s nothing on. You surf for 10~15 minutes before you finally see it: the Winter Olympics on NBC! You quickly switch channels and sink into the couch to spend the rest of your afternoon watching figure skaters execute incredible moves that you are pretty sure you would break a bone (maybe multiple bones) attempting.

The Olympics are all the rage right now, so it seemed only fitting to theme a poll around them.

The options are taken straight from the official Olympics website. I may not have a clue what a luge, biathlon, or skeleton is, but they’re all winter sports! Maybe one of you can enlighten me.

Personally, I’d have to go with curling as my favorite, mainly because I’m going to get to try it this weekend, aaaaaaand it’s just about the only winter sport where I don’t see myself falling flat on my face .

As someone who has been playing curling for a handful of years, I obviously have to go with curling. I'm happy that you're getting to try it! It's a lot of fun.

As far as I know, luge and skeleton are forms of bobsledding. Biathlon is a skiing-shooting mix, where you ski around a course and then need to shoot five times. For every shot that you miss, you need to take a penalty lap.

My favorite winter sport is surfing...somewhere it's warm. The problem with figure skating is they forgot the puck and the sticks.
