National Flag Competition

Hello there again!

I am happy to announce the annual Flag Competition in April 2022, an event that was started many years ago by Anime Daisuki !


We are looking for the best and most creative national flag, which will be determined by vote. You can submit any flag that you use on any of your nations. If you would like to participate, you can submit your flag until the 16th of April. After this, the voting poll will be open until the 27th of April. All Islanders and Friends of the Islands are welcome to participate! You can sign up by making the flag you'd like to submit your national flag and posting the link to said nation below. You do not have to post an actual image of the flag.
The final winner will be announced on the 1st of May after the last voting round and will win a random legendary card and 100000 Tacos. The runner up will receive a legendary card and 50000 Tacos.

Rules for the participation:

- The flag has to be your own individual artwork, unless someone else created it for you, in which case you should give credit to the creator. Official or already existing flags of countries, regions, organizations etc. (this includes NS regions and orgs) will not be accepted.

- Your submission has to be the flag of a nation that you control, which doesn't necessarily have to be your main nation. Please link that nation in this thread to sign up.

- Only one submission per player will be accepted.

- Your flag mustn't contain any hateful, fascist, racist, or otherwise inappropriate content and has to be PG-13. The rules of NationStates apply.

- Flags should be submitted until the 16th of April by posting in this thread here. It suffices to post the link to your nation that uses said flag.

The story behind this flag: Penguin Dictators is a normally friendly-ish kingdom where Penguinians, Polar Bearians, and some Sealians have lived peacefully with each other.

However, just recently the Polar Bearians have decided that the life they live is not enough, and have decided to rise up and claim their "rightful" place as the nation's rulers.  They've successfully overthrown the Penguinians (Executing most, with the non-resisters choosing a life of exile), and Penguin Dictators is now exclusively ruled over by the Polar Bearians and Sealians, who are considered now to be on equal grounds of each other, as symbolized in the flag as both being able to be in equal reach of the crown.

Sorry for the double post, but I'm editing my entry on the fact that the civil war in my nation is over with...and imo my new flag just looks much better than the previous. So my current flag is going to be my entry, and no it won't be changing again anytime soon.
