OK well here's a better one, known as the Ship of Theseus:
A ship is built for the philosopher Theseus. It's maintained carefully, with worn out parts being replaced as needed. After hundreds of years of very thorough maintenance, eventually each individual piece of the Ship of Theseus has been replaced. But they were replaced one at a time, over this long period of time - not all at once. Is it still the same ship?

I've heard this one a lot. It's similar to how over your lifetime, your body replaces nearly all your cells. Is the you from 15 years ago the same as the you now?

A very different ship now, the SS Jabberwocky, and the Captain has aged along with the ship. There are only so many parts we can replace; the rest have a limited warranty.

Maybe an extended warranty is available...at a price. Ask Faustus.

Funny you mention that. I've had a violin for nearly 50 years, but have never learned to play it. Maybe I could go to hell just for that sin.
