House Cup, Shield, and Specter Competition, May 2023

Greetings Islanders!

I am happy to announce the upcoming House Cup Shield and Scepter Competition which will running next month from the 1st of May to the 31st of May!

I would like to remind all house founders/stewards to update their house roster, separating active members from CTE ones and marking accelerator eligible nations accordingly.

The following rules apply for accelerator eligibility:

1. You must be a WA Islander.

2. You must have a forum account for at least 2 weeks.

3. You must have made at least 10 posts in the forum.

Please notify me here in this thread when your roster is up to date.

If you don't have an Accelerator Account you can apply here (This is necessary if you'd like to participate).

The event will proceed as follows:

Article 2. The House Cup, Shield, and Scepter Competition

Section 3.
a) The competition will run for a period of one month. The competition will be held during the months of January, May, and September. It is the Lyonnesse East Senator's responsibility to advertise the competition to House Leaders and raise awareness of this in house threads in advance of the competition starting date.
b) During the time leading up to the starting date, the Lyonnesse East Senator will remind house leaders to update their rosters. Nations which have ceased to exist will be placed in a separate section, and World Assembly nations should have (WA) placed next to their name. A reminder must be sent out at least two weeks before the competition, and again in the final week before the competition begins.
c)In order for houses to qualify for participation in the House Competition, the house rosters must be updated and reviewed by House Founders/Stewards and then reported to the Lyonnesse East Senator as updated before the start of the Competition. Failure to do so will render the house ineligible to compete.

Section 4.
a) During the period of the competition, participating nations will utilize the Accelerator to contact new nations and recruit them to the Islands.
b) The House Cup is awarded to the House that does the most collective recruiting over the month, based on a points system calculated in the Accelerator, awarding nations recruited and recruitment telegrams sent.
c)The House Shield is awarded to the House that does the most recruiting per capita--each house's total House Cup points are divided by the number of eligible members of that house to determine the House Shield winner
d)The House Scepter is awarded to the house of the individual nation whose recruitment telegram (sent out at minimum 1000 times in the month) has the highest percentage recruitment success rate.

Reminder that all house leaders will have until April 30th to update their rosters before being disqualified.
