We talked for a while about what our Steward will be responsible for and I believe this is roughly what was agreed on by those who contributed to the thread. I took the liberty of compromising on the duration of the job and adding a line that explicitly gives the Steward the right to ask for help.
Responsibilities of the Steward of the House of the Sword
The House of the Sword shall be administered by the House Steward, who will serve for a period of 9 months, after which a poll must be taken for the Steward position. The incumbent may re-run. There will be a 1 week period to declare candidacy and a 1 week period for voting via poll. Anyone in the House at the start of the candidacy period shall be eligible.
The Steward will have their following responsibilities:
* Maintain the Roster and keep it up-to-date
* Foster activity within the House
* Post polls when decisions must be made, and serve as tiebreaker as necessary.
* Organize the House for competitions
* Promote recruiting and maintain a list of recruiters
* Maintain the Steward's Office to serve as a place to discuss House issues, rules, and other House matters.
* In the event the Steward requires assistance fulfilling these responsibilities, they may temporarily delegate any to willing and able House members.
These responsibilities will take effect upon a majority vote, immediately with the consent of the current Steward spratlyislands or immediately following the next election for Steward.
