Cool Songs

Taking a cue from Jabberwocky's thread about sad songs, I wonder what songs you all consider to be just the epitome of cool. Not necessarily the most bumpin', or your favorites, or the most technically impressive, but those songs that just hit the perfect combo of groove, jive, and slick that get you to lean back in your seat, one hand in the 12:00 position on the wheel, put your sunglasses on whether you need them or not, and just cruise right on into the chill zone, man.

Let me kick it off with Short Skirt, Long Jacket by Cake.

This was the epitome of cool for my Dad's generation. I think it's cool, too. My band has this on our set list a few years ago.
I couldn't find any footage of Peggy Lee singing it, to my surprise.

Ok so funny story, the first time I heard this song was during a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode.

That's an a capella group backed by a 300 person choir recorded remotely and stitched together.

Sultans of Swing is profoundly cool. I'm a pretty decent guitarist and that song is still a marvel to me after all these years. I shake my head and wonder How does he do that. I mean, the chords are easy, but his riffing is awesome.

Glad this thread was made. One song that is an absolute jam, just maximum chill driving off to the sunset is Brilliant Wings. Whenever this song comes on I just feel the feeling of "alright, let's go and have some fun!"

Do not be perturbed by the 7 minutes run-time - it repeats itself half-way through, so the actual song is around 3 minutes and a bit. I just couldn't find a video that plays this song once

Another song that's similar in jamming to the previous one (where I also get the feeling of "it's time for some fun!") is New Battle.
